Am I the only one for whom images aren't working in the report?

Works 4 me in Firefox with various blockers and barriers turned on. Not much visual stimulation, though, and some rage-inducing Fallout 4 stuff so viewer discretion is advised.

I checked back to be absolutely sure, and this was only the second time I gave my personal opinion about balance in any of my 26 Gamescom reports so far. You probably confused me with somebody else (Grunker? Roxor?) and I understand that completely, but I hope you can see why I was so confused by your point.

This is response shows far too much emotional maturity and conflict resolution acumen.

You should learn to respond to pointless aggression by seeing their pointless aggression and raising them vitriolic accusations of retardation. That way when the thread devolves into a flame war, you can rest comfortable in the knowledge that your manhood is intact.

good read again, first paragraph has a typo i guess, a "yet" for instead of a "let" im thinking.

What is growing increasingly irritating about your articles Bubbles is that you feel the need to point out what could be unbalanced. I do not give a flying fuck about your opinion on that, i can make my own conclusions after reading what you wrote.

You are too seriously triggered by any talk of balance, man.

Personal interjections are what make these reports fun when the games are vaporware, empty promises and dystopian video game futures (that fallout 4 presentation could have come from an ironic post on the codex)

Fine work again Bubbles, but damn that's a sad bunch of games for various reasons.

Good report Bubbles, though I must admit I skipped reading about the games which I know I won't give a shit about.
From the evidence at hand, KS is the only way to get any sort of hope of incline.
Sequels, dumbed-down-but-pretty games are the only thing that game devs get funding for it appears.
Oh well, hopefully there is a massive crash and 3/4 of these dud companies making shit go out of business and interesting games can be made again from the ashes.

Hard West sounds better than the shit they pitched in the codex thread. I still hate the "weird" setting which is basically, we're afraid that history alone won't allow for stupid mechanics we have in mind. There's been like 2-3 good games with the wild west setting, come on!

I had no idea there was gonna be expeditions viking so I'm looking forward to the report. I just finished E:C and it was a very interesting game that could be amazing with a bit bigger budget.

* I even had to look up how to use possessive apostrophes on words ending with 's'. I learned more about English in one article on the Codex (from a German) than I ever did at school.
Not knowing how to do this should be a bannable offence because it keeps ruining my English.

All of Bubbles's* episodes are worth reading even if you don't care about the game (and Fallout 4 is that in excelsis) because they give a fascinating insight into the madness that goes on in one of these games conferences. I swear, I've learned more about the industry in the last month that I ever thought I wanted to know. It portrays games development as descending cycle of madness, with the degenerate swag-flinging the end result of a desperate need to claw back some of the development money, even if it means losing your dignity, and lo your very soul. It makes the dumbing down of everything to fit a broad demographic a very logical end result.

Bubbles needs some kind of award for this (other than the t-shirts). Perhaps never having to go to another of these events might be reward enough.

Edit: Too much desperation!

Has a big ol' laugh at The Mandate part. :)

Not really, im just expecting a better conclusion like "will it be thematically fitting", "wont it get old by the third time you do it", "will it add anything to the game", etc. Than "will they get the numbers right".

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Hard West looks really cool. Although the name could easily imply a cowboy porn movie.

Wow - that Fallout 4 section was so bad it was good..

I just picture some mall cop with a string he pulls and the movie clip of ghouls dying plays for 10 minutes while Tom Howards pre-recorded voice echos over and over.

If there's a lesson to be learned here, it might go something like this: don't waste your time with bad games from bad companies.
Aren't you the guy whose whole shtick is liking bad games from bad companies?
