Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Coming to Steam on November 7.

There will apparently be more content, too. A 20% increase in the whole map.

The first game was a good co-op title, but I keep hearing that this one is more frustrating.

That and I'm still more than a bit annoyed by the whole "epic games only" thing.

Probably won't pick it up right away. Maybe a sale.

Sale for me. It's been at half price on PlayStation, more than once. I never got it. Will get on deep Steam discount.

So it's out on Steam and I picked it up 'cause I really enjoyed the first game, despite hearing the sequel is apparently god-awful (it's currently 64% positive on steam).

It's um... yeah. Different from the first game. There's a lot of headscratching "innovations" like non-connected levels, being juggled like a fighting game, lamer level up system, Monster Hunter-esque bosses.

The main problem is that everything in the game seems to be just more annoying and tedious, for no reason. Really strange design choices all around.

Anyone else pick this up?

I played a bit, loved the first game, din't liked the second and asked a refund. Din't liked boss design, level design and character progression. Also, I want to be the mages that you hunt, not a inquisitor.

So is this still shit or did they patch it up a bit so it's more like the first one?
Fundamentally worse than Salt & Sanctuary in several design aspects, but still worth playing in its own right.

Me and my friend gave up on salt and sacrifice. The main thing you do in the game is hunt those mages and its very tedious chasing them around never feels fun. Combat has a a very meta feel too it. No matter what your build is you will be using throwing weapons a lot, rolling a lot get one hit or two in repeat. Blocking is crap due to how insanely aggressive the bosses are up close. Its a amusing experience flying across the map cause a trap or stuck in enemies wombo combo cause how poise works. Mages mobs fighting world mobs and camping troll places but the games flaws are too evident. None of the worlds are fun to explore or immersive they all feel like giant arenas to chase those pesky edgelord mages.

Salt and sacrifice gives a false impression with it having worlds to explore this time around and it being a sequel. The player expects more freedom and excitement but instead it gives them tedium and restrictive gameplay.
