No need for plane tickets, plenty of punishment awaits for all in the game. And no, we're not going to drop anyone for a small inconvenience like this!

Ahem. Well, anyone, let me write another AAR to explain what has happened.

First, Trash recently took another PoP. On top of that, he played an event card...

Trash's event card requires us to sacrifice a relic, artifact or Praetor or alternately lose a lot of prestige. Relics are items that you attach to a facility (your stronghold, a PoP that you own, etc.) which give you bonuses to your various ritual powers, stats, ability to demand resources, or perhaps even provide prestige each turn. Artifacts are items that you attach to a legion, which makes it more powerful somehow, sometimes with a drawback or two. Praetors are generals that you attach to legions in order to give them a bonus to combat abilities and (or loyalty), and they can also serve as champions in single combat, which is one way to win a vendetta or gain prestige.

Since prestige is pretty tight right now, and we need it to win the game, it's going to have to be one of my toys.

Note also that if Trash hadn't said anything, we wouldn't even know he did this... it would be presented as an act of the "conclave" rather than a single player. But Trash just couldn't keep his smug face shut...

In other news, we can see that Trash recently conceded to my demand that he give me some resource cards rather than risk a confrontation. Normally I'd be gloating over the fact that he became my bitch, but the event card he played sort of puts a damper on that.

And that really is one of the best parts about the game. What exactly is another player up to? Is he using rituals to destroy and steal stuff? Building up a huge army to try and take what he wants through force? Perhaps he's training a preator to be the ultimate arena fighter. Some players could even risk it all by attacking the conclave and trying to hold out after that for the required 5 turns before becoming the new usurper. Layers upon layers. To win it is incredibly important to not let others dictate your game while also keeping an eye out for what they might be up to.

Well now I am rather worried because people have purchased some rather powerful relics at the bazaar, including one that boosts prestige each turn...

OK, 29 sent out.

It's kind of disturbing if you sent out a turn and I didn't get it... I mean, we're both using yahoo accounts. :(

Interesting game so far. No big wars, lots of posturing and a whole lot of building up seems to be going on. Defenitely not the most aggressive game I've seen so far, especially with almost all of you having wrath as an objective. We're about halfway through so no telling what might happen though.

This is the same mistake I make in every strategy game.. I sit there and hoard shit, but don't kick enough ass. Need to do something about this.

Also... amulet of greed in the bazaar! Which one of you greedy bastards is going to bid on it?

Closer to 2/3, since each additional token increases chance for the next one to be drawn.

Ouch, poor devastatordevil. Two legions wiped out with a single nasty event. That must've hurt.

Especially when his third and last one was simultaneously destroyed by a conventional attack.

Bah, legions are cheap and they die all the time. Hope we can get at least another 20 rounds or so before the end of the game, or I am screwed.
