I've put around $10k in this and still nothing

That's it? Well maybe once you start really giving, they'll be able to afford to complete the game.
Yeah I'm not giving up, infact peeps like here in this thread are the reason it's not done yet.

"He hits me because he loves me! He wouldn't be so mean if people would just stop phoning the police on him when he beats on me! It's their fault he gets mad and gives me black eyes!!!"

It reminds me of TV shows like Oak Island, Lost Gold of the Aztecs and curse of whatever ranch, where they keep hyping every dumb little shit they stumble upon to milk away the show, 10 fucking seasons of digging a hole and those mothers fuckers still go ape shit crazy after stumbling upon a rusty nail with a metal detector.

You're not wrong about that. About three dozen players got together to... fly to the mockup sun for the better part of a month.

Peak Gameplay! WhoredGamer also made a video about it padded out more shit for 15m. It's not entirely pointless, it really DOES illustrate SC in all its glory.

A celebration of absofuckinglutelynothing except pointing out how broken and janky this shit is. And how nuts the Store Citizen cultists can get. God damn. I could have told them what to expect with those shit physics.

This is why CIG can sit on their asses showing minimal work for anything while a pack of morons spend out their liquidity and long-term financial stability in the hopes of Someday being able to actually play the game in their head.

This operation better become part of the lore. "A group of idiots decided to test if the sun was real, and took 22 days to commit suicide by flying into the sun"

Perfectly said.

Moar spess go karts!
Whoever says Star Citizen doesn't deliver or only has minor bullshit to show for a now-yearly "major" patch of minor version revision numbers is clearly not watching the right show.

Actually, you're missing the entire point of those shows, and one can and should easily draw a parallel between them and Star Citizen: they have nothing whatsoever to do with the actual premise of what they are, they have ONLY to do with making the money they do while supposedly sticking to said premise.

Do you understand now?

This is precisely what you get down to when cutting through all of CIG's FOMO sophistry - the only REAL boasts CIG and cult can make are about number of people and amount of money taken in, and that's not too impressive given the amount of money people threw at Mother Teresa. They thought she was doing anything for the people featured in the advertising the Catholic Church made about her, while the church pocketed the profits while helping nobody, just spread their religion.

Don't think I do, I might need a drawing on paint...

You mean, like, not really developing video games, just making money by selling TOTALLY NOT NFTs while supposedly developing a NEVER SEEN BEFORE, JUST LIKE REAL LIFE BUT NOT REALLY MMORPG FPS Survival Life Space Farming Simulator?

No need to look elsewhere. The more famous NFT games were making millions daily before the most recent crypto crash. For example Sky Mavis, the scammers behind Axie Infinity, was once valued at $3B if Google results are to be trusted. In any case Axie had a daily marketplace movement in the tune of 50-100M iirc before it all came down, and the devs took somewhere around 5%. And that's just the marketplace. For a very Flash looking game that looks like it was made in a week.

Not sure if I must thank you for making me look into this, holy cow. Found this article. Freaking terrifying.
Indeed. Here I was going for a good meatspace examples of people getting milked for billions of their taxpayer and charity dollars going to the corrupt leaders of corporations and other countries since "Africa Aid" to show how it's easily done but there's the goldmine of "Neurodivergent" Neopets. Because you have to be a bot to play any of these Direct2ChineseGoldFarmer "games".

Talking about TV shows, Apple made a documentary loosely based on the development of Star Shitizen:

In a retrofuturistic world, a huckster named Jack Billings runs a small business of traveling salesmen who go door to door (on Earth) selling timeshares on the moon. Jack pays his staff with the payments, pockets the rest, and then moves on from town to town, with the fictional rocket launch for his customers to be brought to their fictional new homes being delayed further and further.

Squadron404 was taken down from the store. According to some CiG cunt, its due "price changes"...

I guess, taking over a week for these "changes" does sound like CiG, I wouldn't be surprised if they release a roadmap for a roadmap before performing those changes.

I wonder if they are going to increase it to $70, I would love to pay $70 dollars to keep waiting for a game that gives no signs of ever coming out.

Is CIG publicly traded? I think I see it on NASDAQ.

Honest question: have these guys even been sniffed by the SEC or any other overseeing body? I find it impossible to believe they've been able to bilk so many millions of dollars from so many people (keeping I assume their stockholders quite happy) without someone investigating their practices.

Nothing I remember in that direction, I think they had warnings issued (at least in the UK?) because of false advertising, but that's it.

Absolutely not. Not something SEC deals with either.
