I hate these things. No, I fucking HATE'em. The game has much nastier creatures (take 19 lvl spiders for instance) yet these just pisses me off every time.

Seriously now? I had no idea that there's more restraints than being a pixie.

Just finished playing through Quest for Infamy. Good game!

So who's your favourite woman of the game?

The villagers had a thing for this one. Meh. cock-tease.

Roehm was pretty excited about this one, Voleris. Gotta say she's got potential.

You also had this cultist woman, Kayanna. Meh. In the end game it turns out she's not even a woman

I think Kit is the real winner. Look at those bangers. Plus she's of the jealous type, always good.

I also enjoyed the gruesome villain deaths.

The scenery was also top quality.

This doesn't means that armor/weapons needs to be 100% historical accurate to be cool. An good example of fantasy design which is amazing is the Faraam set from DS2

Videogames =/= Reality

Unless we're about a simulation, even the most grounded of games needs some element of abstraction and exaggeration of reality.

Secondly, it's more important for a game's assets to match the overall style of the game instead of trying to make something realistic.
Real medieval weaponry and armor would look wildly out of place for Monster Hunter's world, story, atmosphere, mechanics and game feel, the same way MH weaponry and armor would look jarring in Mount & Blade.

Finally fantastical games without some fantastical weapons is just sad, and they can look pretty cool:
