"you think you can wound me with the Claw?"
"no"

I have finally finished Gothic 2 "completely", as before I have only memories of harbor city and some dumb dragons
My memories were actually correct, as after harbor city it is all not as interesting, although NOTR is ok.
but the slope is very steep and only on "find 23 orc commander rings" my mind broke I went into hysterical laughter and sailed my ship towards final boss, only to find the classical rpg endgame boring shitdungon with 4 buttons (but architecture is very nice, felt like walking into temple of bhaal in first, i mean third, person)
on the power of 2.5 chapters out of 6 alone I rate game killerraptors out of miltens
Due to other chapters I rate it somewhat lower, but the slope is very steep, it's not like game becomes VERY bad (but dragons are kinda bad). As chapters went and more op shit spawned everywhere I began to find narrative and world dumber as nobody cared much "there are no dragons in mines prove me wrong"-Hagen, since there is so much microreactivity around I'd expect at least some fire mage-on-seeker or paladin-on-orc action honestly, and a bit more fear and dissent everywhere (similar to DAO).
and was it necessary to change lore like 3-faced diety where you swear in G1 "until i go to Beliar" into 1 good 1 balance 1 bad diety?
But on the basis of what happens with series NEXT, I rate 8/10. I liked Gothic 1 more.
the PB hoboing is unparalleled, but there is another 2/3 of the game that is mostly killing a lot of enemies after you are already passed hobo stage and it is very repetetive.
also PBs use of subdued colors and their mastery over evenings and nights always amazed me.
Just always play a mage. I never played as paladin or tried pickpocketing/dex and I wish I played mage.
why are not all spells from G1 are in G2??
kill every enemy and do every "find my purse/sword/meatbug" quest PL took me more than ~60 hours. fucking huege game.
