You don't say

Low level goblins bodyguarding 3 bosses that are ~10 levels higher than me. They would glitch in the textures and cause quakes that could kill them easily.

They don't pay me enough for this.

Reminds me about "Sanctus Holy" for some reasons.

There are ulgy=outdated old games, and there are UGLY games.

Both pure melee and melee+casters will turn into walking tank somewhere at ~25 lvl, you'll get so much armor it's not even funny. Playing as a caster pays of later when you find weapons that trigger spells with your attacks, you just need to pump certain skill to start the party.
Solving quests will raise your Honor (you can spend your own stat points on it too, but why waste them) which gives you even more skill points in return.
Switching to Hard makes it worse because you'll get more magic, rare and legendary gear, keeping difficulty level on the very bottom.

Collector's Edition is still the best one, it provides some challenge for the whole playthrough. Why they turned it into popamole fest is beyond me.
And fuck the Shadow Ruins with its shadowgate shenaningans, easily the worst part in the game. Good riddance getting through without walkthrough there if you value your sanity.

edit - I should stop using this name for female characters, heard about Lucy Lawless replacing Gina Carano, saw her Twitter... it wasn't a pleasant experience.

Bought this on Steam some years ago after reading its description. Sounded pretty rad. Around 50 to 70 hours of slaying monsters that don't deserve to live in a fantasy world? Sign me up! Turns out it was a vile lie. Finished it after 25 hours. Didn't even rush through it, I took my time exploring and adventuring about the place. Still enjoyed it a bit, but fuck me.

In reality, it's a blurry mess. The difference is most noticeable when viewed at full size.

With the 2018 update, the game has built-in bilinear upscaling from 1024x576 to fullscreen resolution (in my case 1920x1080). There are no graphics options available besides changing aspect ratio. You can't even change the resolution. The only alternative I've found is to play it in a tiny 1024x576 window. But that's stupid and almost unplayable.
To get the fake screenshots, I took them in window mode and simply doubled the pixel size - 2x is enough in this case - before resizing the image down to 1920x1080. That's it. There are other games that use the same method with good results. Even Dosbox has filters like that. Why isn't this an option here?
Oh, right. Nobody cares.

Trine 2 Goblin Expansion = Best Trine experience. I mean Trine 1-2 are good, but the expansion is just better in every way possible. Harder and less linear puzzles, better environments and more intelligent placement of secrets (now they are actually hidden and require you to go off-road to get them, instead of just grabbing them along the way). Basically massive incline

DCSS. Gargoyle fighter of the Shining One, level 17. Took the first rune from the Shoals. Pretty sturdy character, and plenty of room to improve upon. The melee weapon is a plain, unenchanted morningstar, as I wasn't able to find anything more powerful yet.

What do you think about the game? I've heard bad things.

It's ok. Nothing amazing or groundbreaking, but more of a bundle fodder or high discounted title.
At first I've played it on full stealth, or at least tried. I say try, because sometimes the margin for error is so small, that it's actually easy to just transform into werewolf and turn the location into a kill room. So instead I've transformed into a wolf form, trying to kill as much guards as possible, plus lower the number/quality of additional groups of enemies. You do that by pulling out cables of some easily recognizable electric boxes. And when I've been spotted, I just tried to play along, knowing my errors and just beat everyone into a bloody pulp. I actually like it, since you are not forcing yourself to use only one style of playing, but instead adapt to the situation. There is no XP change, and that's why it works better than in Human Revolution for example. You can get higher those number by finding flowers/artifacts through each location. At first I thought, that they can be used for healing, but no. You need to use the special vision, and then you can "grab" them.

Cyanide as always didn't have had a big budget, and you can see that right from the beginning. The worst offender are the characters, which looks like from PS 3 era, than nextgen. At least the werewolves look cool, and the environments while not amazing, look good enough. The fighting is really chaotic, especially in the beginning, but later on, when we unlock new abilities, you can quickly adapt to the situation. The agile / heavy stance changing during the bigger battles can be hard to recognize. I made a mistake, and just hoarded the ability points at first, and just used them all later on, which made me realize I should done it earlier on. Because even at the start you are not a total noob, but you can still feel how much stronger you become. That being said, it's not a very hard game for any seasoned player. Not very long either, and there almost no side quests as well which makes it a rather short experience. I finished it in 2 days without breaking a sweat. There is a choice near the end, that gives us different end result, but other than that again, we can see that people simply didn't have the luxury to add more content.

Overall 6/10 title.
