Wait a second. Are you emulating it? Does it work day 1?

So this one is a bit weird. 'Tis a large single mission that plays more like a point and click adventure. You are exploring the eponymous tower, which is (obviously) far larger on the inside, solving various puzzles. The tower "contains" several thematically distinct areas, from lava caverns with an imprisoned ifrit, thru shifting Escher-ish hall, to snowy mountain fortress. The whole thing is guarded by these female statues behaving like the weeping angels from Doctor Who, following you around and attacking if you don't have them in your sight. Which makes the backtracking, of which there is a fair bit, additionally annoying at times.
Pretty creative and unique, it has some fun thematic bits (like making a leak over this nice marble floor in keep the resident enchanted mop busy and out of your way, or planting and watering magic beans in order to create climbable vines) but also that "inscrutable" in its title is appropriate in more ways than one.

Also, Eternal Darkness

From the start, the divine presence of the cow is a sure sign of taste : this is gonna be a good game.

Interior decoration trends : blood and gore edition. A little too busy to my taste.

Problem ?

Solution !

Edit : my 222nd post in about Diablo. Makes kind of sense.

what are your specs?

It's a 4th gen i5 + 1050ti, a glorified toaster.

Game run perfectly on Ryujinx at constant 60fps (vsync off) in docked mode, no glitches. If you have a more capable PC then you can push resolution up to 4x too. Check it out, chances are that it'll run just fine.

Pixels, bare boobs and restrained gore. Smells like the 90s all right.

This was recommended to me by ... the YouTube Algorithm™! I watched one map, and it reminded me of the excellent Duke Hard mod for Duke 3D where you enter a skyscraper and fight your way up to the roof, with each floor being one map. Except in this WAD you start on the roof of UAC HQ and are Going Down. The maps are short and always tightly designed around a different idea.

Going Down is my favorite megawad. It has the right pacing, good maps, doesn't drag on, does unique things, hard, and has an interesting soundtrack. I have thought of co-opping it with my friends but have yet to get around to it. 5/5 wad.
