More Path of Titans (dinosaur-themed MMORPG) screenshots.

Just some random scene, showing the feeding of my Latenivenatrix. He feeds on a corpse that is in the bushes just beneath, so not visible at this perspective.

Just a display of different skins available.

And how some blend fantastically in the environment, which is sometimes a matter of life and death:

This battle took a while to conclude. A juvenile or adolescent (two of the five stages of development in the game) lizard called megalania showed great strategy, by going into the water. My dino is one of the worst swimmers in the game, so megalania seeking refuge in the sea was well-played. Ultimately, so long as he remains floating in the sea, a dino will lose stamina, so megalania just had to come out eventually, and every time it did I attacked, so in the end I killed him.

Spot the small prey in the upper corner :) Hiding, especially during nights, makes for some really tense encounters. Even I was ambushed several times so far, sometimes not surviving. That small, lone eotriceratops was ultimately killed by me. Also, a correction: I said previously that marks (in-game currency) is only useful for purchasing skins in the game, which are purely visual things (but obviously have some impact on how one can play); aside from skins, you can spend marks to purchase abilities, such as the two additional ones seen in this screenshot. They can be very useful if used right.

I have the high(er) ground ;) And therefore am safe from these two herbivores. Well, I attacked them first so I can't complain being cornered.

I have probably played for around 200 to 300 hours during the past 2 months. The game offers lots of encounters and different approaches, but you have to be ready to die and level-up after death. Just today I participated in an hour-long battle/pursuit which ended in me and a (in-game) friend killing 1 dinosaur, but also me being killed after 3 of them ganged up on me. Even so, I was careless not to see the 3rd one coming, but the combat is hectic and in real time, so it is sometimes hard to see someone coming your way to make a surprise hit. In so far as that matters as an argument, I am enjoying this game as much as I have enjoyed some others during my childhood. I am playing it practically every day, and find myself thinking about strategies and tactics to use against others.

From being killed every hour of playtime or so, I can now go for hours without being killed, and only get killed if I actually do not pay heed to my own advice ("when below 50% of health, retreat, hide and heal"). Basically, the frequency of me dying has decreased by at least 90%.

The game, official servers where I play and where there are no rules, is toxic & I love it. You can kill anyone for any reason.

One funny thing is that a few days ago I used a global chat - where players write whatever they want - to track down a player: he unwittingly wrote his location, type of dinosaur and the stage of his dinosaur. I concluded I can kill him and so I did XD In response, and he seems to be either German or Polack, said (I used Google Translate) "why did you kill me idiot? i was just resting?"

lol

I then proceeded to track him down again within an hour and killed him again. He threatened to report me, but he can't since there are no rules. Suffice it to say that I ruined his day and I enjoyed it greatly.

That's all folks, for now.

And done, I had no idea that Warren Spector took part in development of this game.
For some reason I liked final levels more than the beggining ones, especially level 13, may be because by that time you get to play with the most powerful guns and turn into an improvised apocalypse machine, or may be because you finaly get used to the controls and stop rolling in wrong directions all the time. Although rocket spam got pretty annoying by the end, basically turns shooting into a tag game, either you shot first and they die or they shoot first and you die, it's easier with robots, because they are so slow, but with humans abusing corners is practically mandatory. The biggest disappointment for me is that there wasn't a chance to control those big yellow robots with twin grenade launchers, but it's not like you are starved out of the explosive stuff, I just like robots. May be I wil write a review for the series after I'm done with the sequel, may be.

Every 'true' MMO allows everyone to see how horrible other people truly are.

OK. On the one hand I don't care.

On the other - playing a game of this type, which is a no rules on official servers, free for all PVP survival game, is a voluntary thing. Just like browsing the internet. If you are bothered, as a wise black man once said, just back away from the screen dude. There are community servers too, with various rules. I never play there. So long as you are making a 100% free choice in playing the game (nobody's forcing you to play it at gunpoint I believe), with the knowledge of what that game is (and you ought to have knowledge), then the most horrible thing isn't the supposedly "toxic" behaviour by MMO players, but your own stupidity and arrogance in assuming that you deserve some special treatment.

And I didn't even say anything about certain factual nuances of my personal approach. And for the best.
