No regret difficulty, let's go!
This one has a faster tempo and more agressive character than it's prequel. You move faster, enemies move faster, everyone dies faster, computers display their messages faster, enemies can destroy your spiderbombs, the starting weapon is no longer a pistol, but an assault rifle, you can carry the entire arsenal at once, grenade launcher on level 1 is no longer a secret, thermatrons appear on level 1 etc. Shotgun is just beastly here, by the way, it was an "acquired taste" type of weapon in the first game and was mostly inferior to the assault rifle, but here due to reduced health pools and faster rolls it just destroys dudes, and you get the fully automatic version as early as level 3 (it was level 10 in no remorse), and here it just really slaps everything.
What I really like is how each level actually stands out now, previously they were just blending together, because they didn't really have any unique features, by looking at the screenshots or just recalling your experience with the game, with the few exceptions, it was almost impossible to tell them apart, but now each mission has a unique visual style and appearance, it makes them much more pleasing to play.

Arthurian Legends. I wish Elder Scrolls games had this kind of gameplay.
You can do a bunch of cool stuff like deflecting imp's magic missiles with your own arrows. Or you can drop caltrops on the ground, throw a bunch of poison daggers at the unforunate knight who got caught and watch as he slowly explodes into the puddle of green goop.

A few more screens of this one. I think the one thing developer really managed to nail are the interior locations.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
After realizing, that I've never had the opportunity to finish the full version of Terminal Velocity, I finally warmed up myself with episode I and just blasted through the whole game. We've got 3 episodes containing 9 levels each. First shareware episode feels like a breeze, but the second one has really nasty boss fight and enemies are in bigger numbers and can actually hurt you. Third one feels very rushed and unfair, like they really didn't have an idea of closing the whole thing in an elegant way and just tossed you in with minimum backup shields available. Still, it feels very smooth and easy to operate even on keyboard. The Ymir theme is burned in my mind, excellent track. The last boss made me chuckle a little bit. I did not expected something like that.

I need to finally try Descent trilogy with some source ports.

Going smooth so far, I had plenty of time to play during these weekends.
I was afraid that the developers would abuse those camouflage mechs to annoy the fuck out of you, but it's not actually the case, they are tame in comparison to the most of the things thrown at you, explosives are still the biggest bullshit in the game by far.
Mission 5 is the best mission I've played so far, the best out of both games, just everything about it is on point, the presentation, the gameplay and the soundtrack, it's also very long, but because it's so good it doesn't get tiresome. The only thing I don't get is why they drip-feed you stuff up until that point, but then give you like half the arsenal in the first 1/3 of the level, after grabbing it all you only miss 3 guns and the final shield upgrade, also colonel Ely returns, but who cares.
Mission 6 is very short in comparison, but it contains probably the biggest secret in the game, which is frankly pretty easy to find. If you do find it, you get to take every weapon and item available in the game.

Playing Din's Curse hardcore. Was initially put-off to the game but the more I've played it the more I've started to enjoy it. I don't really care much for the 'sequels' Zombasite or Din's Legacy. Din's Legacy seems to run like shit on my rig and the player character looks really, really stupid.

But there's something about Din's Curse-- its character models, weapon trails and modest spell effects remind me of DAoC-era graphics which I really love. Playing hardcore (with town-losses counted as deaths) can sometimes lay on the tension when the denizens in the dungeon start relentlessly raiding the town, sometimes at the most inopportune moments like when a trapped chest throws you to a lower level of the dungeon that hasn't been mapped out yet. The game has *very* poor damage tuning where boss monsters that could already damn near 1-shot you might have several layers of stacking thorns or mods that can add up to 300+% base damage bonus, but luckily it's easy to mod and tweak the numbers for.

I've been having fun with it. There's even little things in hardcore like being able to occasionally find and loot the bodies of previously killed characters. It's got a nice mix of procedural generation, feels more like D1 than D2 but despite that I've had characters who've had ridiculous POE-levels of attack speed.
