I kinda miss late 90s early 2000s bizarre action games like this one. Modern action adventurds and repetitive open worlds are absolutely devoid of any creativity.

Sucks that it ended with a shitty cliffhanger.
yeah, back when devs used to make more creative risks and we ended up with more diversity than ever during that era

Pretty amazing that it works without any additional fiddling right after installing, but not at all surprising. This was a very solid engine.

Yep, it was pretty much the golden era of cool 3rd person action games. FAKK2, Rune, Heretic 2. Even the ones that were somewhat panned at the time were cool anyway, like Crusaders of Might and Magic.

This hack was made for beginners who want to learn how to Kaizo. Levels are simple and short. You'll still die a lot, but it never feels impossible.
I tried to play this a few years ago, but SMW's horrible input lag made me rq after a few levels. This time, I'm playing it with RetroArch and its "run-ahead" feature (3 frames), and the difference is huge, I can't even. It feels so much better now.

Learn how to hate fishing boos! :argh:

Baby Kaizo World also introduces you to the common Kaizo tropes, like racing a vine to the top to clear the path ahead of it.

And shell jumps. Jump and kick a shell into the wall to bounce off of it. Or in this case, double shell jumps. Throw shell #1 up into the air, do a shell jump with shell #2, catch shell #1 in the air and do another shell jump. I'm really bad at this.

Kaizo blocks are marked. Doesn't mean they aren't dangerous...

In this level, the screen scrolls faster than you can run and pushes you forward.

Some extra hard challenges ahead (by this hack's standards).

Took me 20 minutes to figure out what to do here.

I can see the appeal. Not sure if I want more.

F.E.A.R. Extraction Point. Back when expansions were better than the base game.

The horror is accompanied by amazing action sequences, courtesy of some great level design and awesome new weapons.

Karin also gets moonschorched, since she was a reporter that covered wars her form is of a Valkyrie.

Decided to go for A ending, since I don't want to kill my friends.

Shit gets real.

The theme goes hard.

Also Le'garde! He's alive... He was behind everything since F&H 1, he was guiding humanity to this very moment!

You thought I was finished? That I was done? WRONG!

This is the best ending you can get.

"The Moon God Rher is gone"

"What You see in the sky is just a barren stone floating slowly in the space"

"Maybe that is evidence of their true strength, that even in their absence, and in some cases death, their powers still linger in this world."

The transition was dope, they put in the effort.
