It features an interesting "combat options" feature which allows you to modify your spells and melee attacks.

Hit harder but less accurate, aim low to increase your chances of hitting small enemies like rats and other similar stuff.
As a spellcaster you will obviously want to switch to the most "basic" version of your magic missile against trash like goblins or kobolds. Helps conserving mana as it drains very quickly and doesn't regenerate that fast.
You also play as reptilian who hides amongst the unsuspecting population of humans, elves and dwarfs. Pretty cool.
The only issue is that this game keeps crushing on my machine :negative:

Some early areas of Them and Us. It's a pretty great (so far) RE1 Remake clone (except it's full 3D) with additional QoL changes like the ability to drop items anywhere (they don't disappear). It supports both fixed camera angles and an over the shoulder view, you can also choose between standard or tank controls or even a first person view. There's also an optional low res mode (toggled by using the old TV in the screenshot) with a special low poly costume to go along with it.

A rather simple third person hack and slash, with very nice presentation and music. We've got two campaigns - for the good and bad heroes, unlocking playable characters while finishing various tasks. Melee combat has some major issues with hit detection, and you just swing your weapons, which is not fun at all. But the magic wielding characters are OP as hell, and the strongest spells deal damage on impact, and over some time after hitting the target. Also jumping is horrible - we got short one, and longer. At first I though, that maybe I need to hold up jump to go higher, but no. It's random, and it can be frustrating at some areas. Plus the physics of the engine can give hilarious effects, when it comes to enemies.

We need to also grab gold pots/jewels, because we don't find usable weapons during the missions. They aren't very time consuming, and the overall plot is very standard, but it sufficient. The architecture is very nice, and despite not having a large number of colors, it doesn't feel dull. Despite the issues, I've enjoyed it - it's small, but satisfying. Starbreeze was working on the sequel, but it was cancelled.
