Baldur's Gate Trilogy run is doing well

Character in BG1

Character Chapter 2 in BG2

Actually had to dual class to Thief because I was out of options for Thieves in Chapter 2. Am also using custom rules for CHARNAME. Since she is a Bhaalspawn, she gains double the XP from quests as long as Irenicus hasn't stolen her soul, and she is able to increase one of her stats with LVL6, Start of BG2, after she has recovered her soul, and midgame ToB.

Some of the items in BG1 carry over to BG2

First three Innate Skills (Healing Touch, Cure Ailments, Divine Power) are powers that you gain with each dream in BG1 when you are playing a good character (higher reputation). Trap skill from Thief class. Charm Animal, First Strike and Poison weapon come from Amazon class.

Branwen also makes her return

I like Baldur's Gate 1 and 2. That mod build of mine is almost eight years old. Time flies...

Probably some mod used Infinity Engine backgrounds because they translated well enough to ToEE. Someone was doing a total conversion of Icewind Dale into ToEE but they ran out of steam after the first chapter.

AI is fucked, not sure if innately, or due to new OS, or 60 FPS. :(
Humans and aliens often don't fight with each other, even when they certainly should:

Great graphics, but game is total decline when compared to SR1 (much worse than I've remembered it from "back then").
Constant long & udnskippable cutscenes, irritating combat (enemies block all the time / stunlock you), linear exploration, handholding (Raziel hints on what should be done next all the time). I blame the female director.
They didn't do that when I played through the series like 4-5 years ago on my laptop.

I agree about the decline. From the start the second game feels like it's been "WoWified". You can tell it crossed into a different era and it wasn't a good change.

And fuck all that backtracking. So damn annoying realizing the world is just one pathway that you walk back and forth opening a little here and there bit by bit.

Second to last journey.

The last challenge. In the current version, anyway. Didn't start yet.

Against the Storm - man, what a great game.

It's a city builder but with rogue-like approach to everything like as you start with very limited amount of blueprints and choose'em as you play. And a small scale, short party oriented gameplay. You can see at the screeenshots that every small settlement on the map was an actual game session something around 4 hours long. There're multiple ways to grow your settlement each time and to achieve victory. Which leads to absolutely addictive game sessions, better than Civilization series even. Highly recommend. If you don't value your time.

Someone on the dev team was clearly very into alien rape and impregnation.

Good thing that DN3D likes to give the player opportunities to get a drop on enemies if you search good enough.

Of course there was an ambush right after i dropped in. Nothing that couldn't be fixed by flying back with a jetpack and throwing a few pipe bombs down.
Yes, there is a hidden jetpack on this level. In one of the secrets.

Fuck yeah!
Last save, I remember I was getting ready to steal the Air Talisman from the Hammerites in the "Undercover" mission.

"Return to the Cathedral" is next...

How did you get the sword?
I find lately that I prefer just firing a Rope Arrow and carefully jumping atop one of those circles and try to grab the sword, instead of going all the way to the top and having to avoid those three guards.
You can also shoot a control mechanism of sorts, which will make the sword fall down, but it will make noise and alert the guards...

That's exactly what I did, it seems like the most hassle-free way to do it. Not that taking care of those three guards is hard, just clump them together, throw a flash grenade, and bonk them on the head. But I prefer to avoid confrontation altogether, like a real thief would.
