As a diver, I can tell you that this is the shittiest rebreather ever. It covers your nose, but does not have a full-face mask. Pray tell, how are you going to equalize pressure in your mask, if you can't blow air into it? Do you want to look like this (and experience terrible pain in the process):

So you don't look like Darth Vader, you look like a twat.

The issue here is that the mod doesn't specifically target children.
You are allowed to fuck any human character.
The modder forgot that children are human too.
And since the plug-in automatically scales two actors size to the larger one, that muscular child is the result.

Hell, you can even fuck a raised zombie - as long it's human.
I wonder, is it enough to fuck some poor degenerate modder's life?
:troll:

I was always impressed with Hexen visually, but could never make it past the first hub world tbh.

'A door has opened... somewhere?'
:hmmm:

Really now.

If I remember by [Science 70] dialogue option correctly, all you need is a corn stalk and some surgical tubing to make a kick-ass rebreather. You must not be a scientist.

Fortunately, I'm an engineer, so I won't try to breath through a device that would be unusable under more than ~30cm of water ;)

Really now.

You'd be amazed how many older gamers are glad to be rid of searching for keys and doors. There was a thread on GOG a while back asking about who missed that aspect of shooters. Pretty much everyone was like "fuck that shit."

This. SO MUCH THIS. Hexen gave me a rough time back when it was new in the first hub because you had to constantly run back and forth to try to find where something had opened up to allow you to proceed an inch or two. It's not so noticeable in the other hubs, but rears its ugly head in Deathknights of the Dark Citadel.

There is nothing wrong with searching for keys.
Stuff like finding the dwemer puzzlebox could also be considered as a realization of the same "encounter A, a informs you that you need B to progress, bring B to A" mechanics.
Sure, in old FPS games the keys and locks were painfully unfluffed, but Hexen, at least, told you what and where.

The problem is not keys and doors but backtracking from one to another. If you've cleared out the path, and all you have to do is move through an empty space, without any challenge, then this is boring. If enemies respawn (or, even better, different enemies spawn) and the player has something to do on the way back, it's all good.

I didn't play Hexen (I don't like FPS that much) so no idea how it works there.

No, ffs negro, Hexen's problem was precisely that it told you jack shit about what and where. "A door has opened somewhere on the map!" is not much of a hint when you have to backtrack through 3 maps to get there, and then search for half an hour for the location of this mystical new opened door.

What I always find funny about discussions of the decline of the shooter genre is that fps games were always considered decline, even back in the golden era of pc gaming.
They were considered mindles twitch-games, good for in-between, but not very filling for the :obviously: gamer.
Now what does it tell us about such discussions? That the decline is so bad it even declined the games that already were declined?
Or that gamers always liked to complain about the decline?

I think it's only meant to filter smoke from the air. Post-apocalyptia, remember?
I'm pretty sure you need the rebreather to dive towards the bomber for Volare! quest.

Also:
The Fallout Wiki said:
The rebreather is not an air filtration system, and cannot protect the player from the Cloud in the Sierra Madre.

So there. I'm right. And that rebreather design sucks ass.

edit:

Game runs very smooth and looks beautiful in glorious 640x480 high-resolution but crashes after a few minutes of gameplay.

I'm using the latest SVN Daum build.

I played it recently and had similar crashes. Although I used a version withouth the support of hi-res, maybe that's why they weren't so frequent. Bethesda master coding at it's best, but at least the game is great. Last mission is a gigantic maze compared to new fps-es. And has great atmoshpere, no "funny" things like in F3.

I played Future Shock back in the day, it was really quite impressive (but ran terrible on my computer) but I never got around playing Skynet properly.

When you have both games installed you can play FS with Skynet's improved engine.

I've seen similar errors when I tried to play "Screamer" in high resolution in Dosbox.

I tried to enjoy Killer 7, I really did, but all the weirdness and style in the world couldn't make up for how boring as hell it was as a game. And I even like No More Heroes.
