So, I'm playing Nexus: The Jupiter Incident at the moment, among others. The game is quite nice, but has the annoying tendency to be a bit finicky. I have to replay some missions again and again because the ships don't do what I tell them to do. I had to take a break for the moment.

So I fired X3: Albion Prelude up, as I have only played X3:TC so far. I wanted to see the new plot. However, I notice that I don't have the patience at the moment to build up a factory empire just to fulfill some throwaway mission objectives. Let's see when I get to installing mods that make it at least palatable. Some of the new stations are nice, though.

X3 needs realistic physics and 3d cockpits to be playable.
It's very playable as is. But I have spent so much time (hundreds of hours) with X3:TC that my need for grindy stuff is saturated at the moment.

X3 needs AI to be playable and not the lifeless pre-set world
Yes, you need to install mods to be able to take over sectors permanently. Otherwise, the "owner" will always take it back, as they have unlimited resources. Then again, I never played X3 as war simulation because of this. I never had many warships, except fighters in the complexes. And hundreds of traders, lots of station transports. Stuff like that. And the Hub is a nice thing to cause havoc.

Just finished Dawn of War 2....good game, if a a bit repetitive. Didn't keep doing all the missions at the end, it was too samey and I wanted to try Chaos Rising, so got a mediocre score...

You are getting yourself into the "walk to the store buy products, dear" game - since doing the same thing IRL is not enough.

From here and until you'll get bored X hours later (depending on your tolerance for doing the same thing over and over again) and hit uninstall.exe you will be doing only one thing - walking and delivering stuff.

Managed to reach endgame, doing now all optional encounters, this one was pain lots of hp, heavy hitter, and disabling characters with statuses from time to time, but it wasnt hard
And i really dont know if i should bother with games super bosses like Yiazmat who has 50 fucking milions of hp (most bosses have like 200k-500k), and thats nearly hour of goddamn danse macabre

Do all of them except Yiazmat, Hell Wyrm and Omega Mark XII. All the others are interesting and challenging, those 3 ones just require to much spare time & grinding to my taste...
