Ambush! and Eavesdropping, fun little missions, but nothing spectacular.

But then came First City Bank and Trust, with Shipping ... and Receiving, definitely a highlight of Thief 2 so far. So huge, so many things to do, so many ways to get to them.

I fucking love the bank. The hi-res sky works surprisingly well with Ambush. To be honest I think all the hi-res stuff looks better in Thief 2 than it looks in Thief Gold.

Am I really going to have to pull the register date card here? Morrowind was considered a big step back and a decline of the series overall when this place started. Go look for yourself instead of linking to what you watered down newfags think of it in hindsight.

Divinity: Original Sin Wasteland 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
Personally, I never had the chance to properly appreciate the TES series (started with Morrowind) because right before it I played Gothic 1, which did everything better than MW. And Oblivion. And Skyrim too.

Morrowind is indeed a lot more simple and much smaller scale than Daggerfall, but it's also a completely different type of game (and in my opinion a better game overall for the most part) so it doesn't matter.

Daggerfall's character generation system and selection of skills is one of the best ever, but half those skills wouldn't have been useful in any way in Morrowind. Also the lore (aka objectively the best part of TES), while present in Daggerfall, only really developed properly in Morrowind.

If you think I give one tiny little shit about your register date you're deluding yourself.

Also: you're free to have an opinion. I'm free to tell you I think it's a borderline retarded one, and to point out the majority of Codexers agree with me. Freedom baby! The majority probably don't agree with me that Skyrim is pretty good too, the retarded fuckers.

This wad looks like one hell of a challenge. Gotta try it with Hideous Destructor mod.

It's certainly challenging on UV but it's still very much Doom (or Brutal Doom in this case). It's not one of those maps/ campaigns that just throws billions of enemies at you. Item balance is a bit fucked up when using Brutal Doom, this means that ammo can be a little too scare but this adds to the fun. Level design is just brilliant and there are a lot of well hidden secrets on most maps. I also love the "new" textures these guys used.

it's certainly a lot of fun even when you're one those crazies who only saves at the start of a level and when picking up keys.

This is definitely one of the best megawads out there IMO.

Also the new music is pretty great.

I have yet to try "Hideous Destructor".

Then watchout, HiDe is opposite compared to BrutalDoom.
And mod creator said it was made for lulz and nobody should be suprised when game became unbeatable.

It's really playable with Hideous Destructor, unlike some of the original Doom levels.
I ragequit on MAP02 after a number of failed attempts of storming the dark areas.

I seriously recommend Hideous Destructor, especially if you like to challenge yourself. Just don't try it on some wads with thousands of enemies in one room. I won't say anything else - don't want to spoil the fun.

[/spoiler]

Already finished it, very good indeed.
I've completed some wads from 20th cacowads winners. Back to Saturn X - Episode 1 had a good difficulty on ultra violence, even with brutal doom. Some of the maps have 1xx monsters, others can grow to 4xx. Doom 2 The way ID did is even better than the first one, a whole campaing in old-school vibe, no gigantic kill arenas and similar nonsense. Now it's only Unholy Realms to finish, but that it's for the dessert.
