This section was a fucking disgrace to my aiming skills. Also, requires careful timing to kill imps in the dark areas.

Hmm, a lot of people recommended me this game, but since I don't own a console, I guess I won't play it in the next 10 years or so.

I know game from the stories and let's say - it's one of the top 3 reasons (after Demon's Souls and Dragons Dogma) why I regret that I didn't get PS3 in "better days".

Story is good, characters are good.... maybe it looks Japan with character but it's not jRPG in bad way.
Some of the stories in side missions are really fucked up, disturbing.

Does the Codex even know Nier?
I'm here since 2010 but saw maybe 3? mentions about that game so not sure if they like it without basic knowledge about that game.

Am I really going to have to pull the register date card here?

By all means, please do.

Morrowind was considered a big step back and a decline of the series overall when this place started.

Was?

As far as I see, Codex's opinion about Oblivion held up. Fallout too. Some things hold up while others are verified, corrected, or considered wrong. Maybe better writing, or cohesive, ambiguous, and most of all original setting etc. is considered more interesting and attractive in larger context than rpg mechanic porn, or randomly generated mazes of corridors, or bland setting, or whatever it is it would make DF so "superior". But if DF would be some Citizen Kane Beethoven of rpg games, it would have gotten the recognition it would deserve.

Go look for yourself instead of linking to what you watered down newfags think of it in hindsight.

No way I'm wasting time like that.

Holey crapooley, man, you'll never get laid if you'll use those visual novels as a source of education on the subject.

Or maybe you will.
Who knows.

Blackmail, Trace the Courier and Trail of Blood. Only the first one's pretty good, Courier is a rehash of Ambush!, and Blood while interesting visually, is too linear for my taste.

But now we're getting to the diamond of Thief 2.

Though, had to turn off fogging. Am I doing something wrong? Or my card is crap? Or I do not have some other enhancement where fog would look a bit better?

This was such a retarded game that I couldn't get past this horrible Castle. No point. At least this Village was decent, at least for this turd. Brr. Never again.

Also makes Dark Souls port look like a native version built from scratch.

Damn, it looks like a PS2 game. Anyway, in my recent quest to get all the non-shitty exclusive RPG-ish games of PS3, it has fallen onto my radar. I've found it for 10 euros. Hope it's worth it.

Anyone here played Folklore ? Thoughts ?

Folklore was fun from a gameplay perspective, but I remember the plot not being very good. It was one of those early ps3 games that used the ability to wave the controller around and such, and I remember it being pretty central to the combat. If that's a dealbreaker for you, look elsewhere. I'm not sure if you could disable it or not.
