I pressume it's Reloaded edition with english translation? I hear that it become cool game but need to buy from germany (eBay for example).
Still waiting for release on Steam (because GOG release nothing but indie shit recently).

Combine Fallout Tactics combat with that game and would be good Van Burren...

Yeah, it has a nice atmosphere and even writing, but the combat is just lame...

I remember being hyped for that game when it came out. Then came the bugs (was unplayable at release), the embarassing VO/ writing in german... Boring gameplay.. and ofcourae, rotateable 3d camera of doom. I dont say it ofte , but this game is shovelware at best :/

I can understand what he liked, but the RTWP combat just kills the game for me.

Hacking Front Mission 2

Well, it seems that I screw myself over by using my standard FM3 method of specializing my pilots in two skills (machine guns + rockets). In FM2 it works fine initially, but then the difficulty rises and due to Geo Effect and Evade mechanics, guys who fell behind skill-wise can’t hit shit. Enemies are currently ~ LV16 and some of my fags ~LV8, so they keep missing their targets all the time. And you can’t train your units in this game, EXP comes only from missions. Specializing in only ONE skill seems to be the only way to go.



I almost ragequit to start over, but decided to give the Dark Side a try, by doing some memory editing.



For this unit, my goal was to increase the Long skill (LV.7, 49/295 EXP).

Sadly, the easiest way of gaining 6-8 levels at once didn’t work:

But somehow other skills got increased as well:

So, to make it just right, you have to increase one level at a time, modifying the “current exp” value to something just below the “next level” value (294/295, 313/314, etc.). Then, you level this skill up just by a successful hit:

Well I'm glad I played through this series rather than something like, say, Mass Effect.

I tried to work up my enthusiasm to play it once, but turn based + controling only one character doesn't sound fun to me.
