Invisible Inc. - Contingency Plan

The DLC adds some interesting enemies and gameplay quirks:

But new equipment is shit. I mean both new augs (the "skill=3" ones - seriously?), Thermal Disrupters (power cost + cooldown) and Mk. 4 items (recharge?) are inferior to the original ones. WTF? And this shit makes up most of the shops' offer in later levels:

:decline:

New fags are interesting, but in case of Draco (the best one) you are forced to use certain gamestyle (zap->disable->kill) at least initially.
And standard setup for augs (+1 melee piercing, +1 KO, Net Downlink) doesn't change:

I've chosen Parasite as the default hacking program and boy, was that a mistake (useless against hig-level cameras)... Thank God I found good old Lockpick later on...

Anyway, beaten the game for the 3rd and final time, on Experineced modified via savegames (no auto alarm-increase, more time):

Thermal Disrupters (power cost + cooldown)

thermal disrupters have the highest armour piercing of all tazers

you'll drop to your knees in gratitude to have a thermal disrupter IV once armour 6 omni soldiers appear, asshole

total agree on all the tier IV items however and how they clutter the nanofabs - i do keep a single IV tazer and IV paralyzer around cuz they are useful to knock out a git at turn 1 for 12 turns

but otoh when playing endless and getting to the point where you can never ever hope to spend your geld, you can just buy a tier IV item, use it once and drop it, so they can get p. useful like that

ffs scrublord get a handcannon

how about heart monitor disabler + 3 ranged pen augs + flurry gun :smug:

Really? Shock traps solve all your problems, being also a separate way of dealing with guards (you can use disrupters for Lv 1-3 ones). They have both PWR cost and cooldown, so they are basically thermal disrupters only they ignore ALL the shield. It makes no difference if teh fag has Lv6 or Lv12 shield.

Useless if you have 4 agents with Net Downlink. Hacking cameras = free AP. Plus they will give you the view of the map without the need to scout using agents. Gotta go fast.

Yeah, what's great about the game is that you can play using totally different setups / styles and shit will still work and be enjoyable.
Fantastic gameplay.

Shock traps solve all your problems

Not when they stack up so much KO resistance that they wake up immediately after getting shocked @_@ (although there's an exploit workaround for this)

I just keep such fags pinned. But I can see how it can turn into a problem in missions with >20 difficulty.
Either way (traps or tasers) you have to either pin them or zap->hack->disable->kill them. Some CP guards have heart monitors that can't be disabled, though.
