I should have thought about that. I put draw distance to the max. I guess I have to edit my shit again. When I played with MGSO, the only option that caused a slowdown was the draw distance when increased to a ridiculous amount. I ended up settling for a draw distance of a mere 20 cells. So I started Morrowind with the MGSO mod and it really looks good, a hell of a lot better than the vanilla version. I am a bit dissapointed though that the options are difficult for my computer to run even at medium when I can easily max out New Vegas or Oblivion with mods. Look at that low fps.
Nothing related to Oblivion should be associated with Morrowind.I wonder if I should install the oblivion combat mod.

Despite the awkwardness of the fights, I think that, if it's your first time in Morrowind, you can give it a try the vanilla way. Just stay away from the marksman's skill.I tested out the combat because this game is infamous for having bad combat and people weren't lying.
I wonder if I should install the oblivion combat mod.
Had a few great moments on Dantooine with that soundtrack. Some relaxing talk with Bastila and her charming english accent, away from nowadays mass effect-like garbage or even worse waifu stuff.. what went wrong, Bioware?Ah, sweet Dantooine.
This. Besides, Oblivion had even shittier combat. Comparable amount of clunkiness, but with any semblance of sense going down the drain.Nothing related to Oblivion should be associated with Morrowind.I wonder if I should install the oblivion combat mod.
Also this. Morrowind was designed around its original graphics. Original graphics included limited view distance which was taken into account when placing stuff.I should have thought about that. I put draw distance to the max. I guess I have to edit my shit again.
Another disadvantage with infinite draw distance is that it makes the world feel to tiny.
X-wing
The rebellion proceeds more or less smoothly:
Even if with a little help from quicksaves...
But what can you do, when your wingmen can't hit shit, esp. teh bombers...
Anyway, 1st TOD completed:
In before more rape...
Well, at least I did all 14 missions, not only 12 like some pansies...Gragt said:

After eight playthroughs of Morrowind in the days before fancy graphics extenders, it was fun to have one playthrough with MGSO cranked to maximum and a view distance that allowed for sweeping vistas. MGSO does have a few bizarre options for vegetation in certain regions, but it's simple enough to select the options that are consistent with the original art design.Guide on how to ruin Morrowind:
Step 1 - Install graphical mods
Developers need to learn that half-assed action-based combat mechanics are always worse than character-skill-based combat mechanics. It's probably too much to hope that they'll learn from Dragon's Dogma or the Souls series how to do action-based combat correctly.This. Besides, Oblivion had even shittier combat. Comparable amount of clunkiness, but with any semblance of sense going down the drain.
Morrowind, for its clunkiness got one thing right - melee combat usually draws out when the combatant manage to not get hit, getting a 2h axe in the face tends to make you dead.
In oblivious everyone always hits, except they might do negligible damage, even if they brain an unarmored guy with a battleaxe.
It gets even lulzier for ranged attacks - you can turn a guy into walking pincushion (with pinpoint accuracy) but leave him mostly undamaged because you're a lousy marksman.
Oh...
