And here we go again!

:yeah:

Funny thing now is that I can beat the game more or less easily (with enough continues). Gone are the days I struggled to finish level 2: only the last two levels still give me trouble.

On to Ghouls 'n Ghosts! A childhood favourite (mostly on consoles but also a bit in arcade) but I could never finish stage 1.

Did you beat it twice as you're supposed to?

Aye. The first screen is of the first fight with Astaroth and the “it was a trap, go back to level 1”, and the second screen is the true end.

And then the game sends you back to level 1 again just because.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign
After my party's heroic battle against Mangar in BT1, I finally got around to complete the first task in BT2. A task none other than the noble deed of venturing into the devious dungeon below, slaying the Dark Lord and rescueing the beautiful princess!

And this made me nostalgic for Heretic 2. How hard is it to run it on modern computers? That was a damn fine game.

This. I've been wondering about it myself. Hexen 2 got a Steam re-release, but so far nothing about Heretic 2.
I had a problem installing it on Win 7 some years ago, where installation was hanging, but it is relatively common issue and solution is easily found online if one encounters it.

Other than that, it ran without any issues.
There is also a crash when starting a new game on XP/7, but it can be easily avoided by loading a tutorial level and only then starting a new game.

Total War: Warhammer - Old World Edition

Played a couple of campaigns to see what's changed. Unfortunately, this isn't a major rebalance like Rome 2 Imperator Edition, just a marketing trick using the Bretonnia faction release (which was delayed from Christmas so as to be "expanded with extra content" - none of which is apparent). Several features that really should've been integrated into the original faction mechanics - like proper traits from major achievements such as defeating named characters in battle - are limited to Bretonnia. Still, I'll enjoy using the more "fleshed-out" Bretonnia in modded campaigns. I guess the next big release is the first expansion pack. Can't wait to be bled dry again!

It's good to be home after some years...

Skeleton production line.

I'm playing on edited maps - each one has Gems blocks edited in, so it's impossible for keepers to run out of money. This leads to some visceral turtlefaggotry, and epic battles even early on (shot from Level 6):

As always, Bitches are the WMDs of early levels. Great offense and defense:

Plus deadly set of spells (bolt, speed-up, drain life and teleport):

:salute:

Also it's almost impossible to piss 'em off, which can't be said about Fucking Vampires, Mang.

One of the best games over, unparalleled since 1997. :obviously:
