Can you at least bind your weapons/spells/etc on 1-9?

Nope, you just have a key to access your 'favorites', which isn't categorized at all but just one long list of everything - items, spells, powers/shouts. If you haven't tagged something as a favorite, you have to navigate through the shitty menus each time you want to access something. Pro quality popamole.

Dude, that's bullshit.

Once you add items to you favorite list - open it with 'Q' and then you can hotkey anything to the number keys.

EDIT: Oops, sorry I see that's already been picked up.

Apart from the UI, the game is a definite :incline: over Oblivious (maybe even a massive one).

As some have already said, it's more like a sequel to Gothic - getting that same vibe from the world, it's pretty fucking dangerous. :(

Not sure whether it can be classified as an upgrade or not.

My answer will depend on whether you can also murder someone as long as everyone else has baskets on their heads

The interface is fucking horrible and unintuitive, having to use TAB to exit, e to click, scrolling with keys on one panel without mouse support while on the next panel being able to select things with mouse, having to go through menu after menu to equip something. I also have the interface freeze up all the time stopping scrolling or clicking something until I reselect the root option again and then the sub menu. Fucking awful stuff.

On a plus side the game runs fine with maxed out graphic options and LOD at 1600x1200(minus shadows and radial blur) on a 2.13ghz Core2 with 512mb ATI 4770 and 3gb RAM. It may look like it's from 2006 but at least it runs fine out of the box.

Game itself is not bad so far, admittedly very early in. Definitely feels more like Morrowind/Gothic world exploration rather than OBlivion/FO3. Hopefully it continues in this way but with the pot head Radiant AI in operation and Beth's propensity for cutpasta who knows?

I'm noticing a severe lack of "Have you come seeking the light?" or "I'm looking for my father[...]" skyrim pics, what's the deal? No mock-worthy photo opportunities?

It radiates stupidity! ahaha

Now Bethesda needs to give them ears.

FFS that was hilarious.

It will be a feature of their next game. "radiant ears"

Lol, but honestly, I think we are seeing a direct limitation of the hardware. They are just running out of computational power. I can't imagine it would be very difficult to add such a feature. It was probably sacrificed to gain some frames. That's where these consoles are now. Lol

I don't see the problem with UI/controls tbh. You really should play console games with a gamepad, even if they're on PC. This is why bethesda hates the codex, we can't even look past minor issues like this. Who needs a decent UI and mouse support in menus anyway.

Everybody who posts a video of meeting a giant invariably has it end with them sent flying. Unlike Dragons, Giants don't scale to your level. :rpgcodex:

:retarded:

Yeah, god forbid we actually expect a PC game to work well with PC controls.

The bucket shit is pretty funny, but really... what could be done about it? Make the NPC attack you for putting an object on their head? Allow them to see through the object? Add a script which makes the NPC shrug the object off their head? Not sure what a proper workaround would even be, especially on this engine.

I like Elder Scrolls. Can we start the troll gangbang now?

Quest compass leads directly to my prostate...

Love,

The MGMT.

PS: Still finishing Dark Souls!

Why do I get the feeling Bethesda slipped buckets over the reviewers' heads?

"What are you doing that for? What's that I'm hearing."
"Why it's only the most Majestic game of all time!"
"Wow, I should write this down!"
