I'm running a hybrid mage/shaman on Hard, it seems to do OK... as long as you make use of support/control spells in addition to damage. Some spells have cross-stat requirements now (e.g. Chain Lightning needing 3 int, Mind Wipe needing 3 cha).

Maybe. Just in case I'm not going to brofist your post. Can't be too careful where universe ending paradoxes are concerned.

I made an Ork Street Samauri because I wanted to check out the new cyberware. But Duncan, the Jar-Jar of this thing so far, is the same. Pretty annoying. Thinking of starting over.

New orks look like shit imo. And some of their portraits, oh boy.

Clearly you've never tried to follow me around whining about bullshit

No, but I had plenty of working collegues and for couple of them I was forced to take over their work because of an emergency situation since they froze . Same happend in the military even from guys who tried to act tough all the time and seemingly nothing could harm them and in the middle of a several days lasting field trip with injuries suddenly break out in tears after taking another hit, one guy for example twisting his ankle badly. I carried his backpack and rifle until we went home even though he told me he thinks that I am an idiot but that actualy made me respect him since I prefer straight honesty over fake friendliness inevitably leading to talk behind your back.
I've also seen someone fainting at the sight of a needle when we were standing in line for our first day check ups. Fell like a rock sideways out of the line and I never made fun of it.
That being said I started to work when I was 13 and come from a fairly poor family so had to learn the ropes pretty early in life so there is nothing special about that, I just went through those experiences far earlier than these people.

Point is, people are (very) different and sometimes you cannot escape it even if you dislike or hate it. Personally I appreciate differences. It makes life mostly exciting if at times annoying.

so far im liking it better than returns (by far) and dragonfall (by a little for the gameplay changes) but i cant figure how they spent so much time and so much art that never gets used for anything. the cities, battles and safehouses are all much larger but if anything have less interactive or important elements than either previous game.
not that that will ruin it for me, just makes me wish for a mouse monkey to traverse those wonderscapes for me.
but damn some of the missions actuly having alternative plot branches or solutions is soooo nice, even if just once in a while.
but any turn based shadowrun is the best shadowrun...i got so excited this morning when i realized it was out that i forgot to torrent it and try it, something i rarely do. i clicked pay when i woke up early this morning, forgot after going back to sleep and found it in my steam library this morning.
whew. coulda been assasins creed.

Yes, because video games at all times should simulate real life, especially in ways that are annoying and make us unhappy for no good reason.

I'll think about that while I will throw some Fireballs around today. But yeah, cRPGs should only present NPCs being perfect dude bros who are your soulmates, of course.

One of the missions has the KNIGHT-KINGS OF LIGHTNINGHOLD theme playing as elevator music. A++

e: also, the Shadowland posts (especially the recurring 'slam poetry' threads) are pretty amusing this time around

Game installed.

Time to snort some cocaine, lock the door, draw the window curtains and disconnect all phones.

For some reason Shadowrun Returns/Dragonfall lagged from time to time on my pc. I expected Hong Kong to be worse since it looked better. But no. It runs so smoothly.

The soundtrack sucks right from the menu (missin null sheen already) and the new portraits look like a fast amaturish photoshop project.

Did not care much for all the boo hoo with Duncan. Hopping it gets better.

Loving the game, some fights are harder this time thanks to AI but it's not stable. AI still does some brain dead moves time to time.
Kinda regretting my pure decker choice but what the hell, gonna see ending with this ugly elf of mine. Probably repla with a shaman/mage after that.

:D A character that you hate can be great too, but there's a difference between "love to hate" and "he just sucks". From what Ninjerk is describing, the character in question just sucks. YMMV.

Crept up on me, a nice surprise having cheapened out of backing the kickstarter.

Amusing that gog galaxy wanted to use 11gb while the old downloader uses a compressed 2.9gb. A bit backward for software they want people to adopt, went back to using the old one immediately.

Duncan is whining cunt, but two shadowrunner girls are not much better. It seems that HBS kills in the ambush only cool runners. :negative:

About that, maybe I'm a little bit paranoid, but

I'm told two or three times already that elf shadowrunner was a real jerk. Starting to think that I will see him alive in the future.
