OK. I installed this on Linux finally; Ubuntu 13.04. First thing: loading a save game is, uh, stuck at "loading". Any pointers?

Second thing: I have the "Berlin campaign" according to the Steam window, but it's not available in the game itself. Is that how it's supposed to be?

Berlin is not released yet, I think.

Dragonfall unlocks in 9 hours. Although I did get a 127 megabyte update today, hmmm.

Thanks guys. Still, I cannot get any save to work, or even start a new game in linux. Grr. (Yeah, I 'verified local content' etc.)

Hm, I've played it without issues on two different Linux machines (Mint 16, based on 13.10), but probably not since the latest updates.

You're already a hardcore hacker for using Linux, may as well strace it and submit a bug report. :smug:

Elwro remember to specify all addresses in MegaPulses, and claim your deck is a Fairlight Excalibur. Also, the Berlin patch might fix it. It's supposed to be out at 10:00 PST.

Harebrained schemes left a bad taste in my mouth, and I won't be supporting them. For the android version of the game, there is one game breaking bug that they never fixed, and they have outright stopped responding to forum posts about it. There are a few other annoying bugs for android (e.g. Paco gets replaced by your drone), but this particular one is completely game breaking and they never fixed it, yet they're going to release dlc and ask for my money again? How is this any different from what the so-called evil big publishers do? It was so easy to talk about those evil big publishers to generate sympathy during their kickstarter campaign. What a fucking joke. Nobody's different; they're all just businessmen out to make money.

And I'm not the only one.

Well, it's not just any bug, it's a bug that halts your progress. The fact that they just gave up and didn't bother to fix it , with zero communication whatsoever doesn't exactly encourage me to buy dlc from them. It would be the smart thing for any consumer to do.

FWIW I played through the android version and haven't encountered this -- nexus7 running 4.4, if that counts. That said, there were some really annoying bugs like 'field' type spells sometimes failing to show valid target squares (so they were basically unusable).

^The way to avoid the game breaking I mentioned above is to not use any rigger NPC's in your party. And yes, barrier spells don't work on android and there is no workaround.

I've just done the bit where you save the girl in the Brotherhood's centre. Does it get any better? I liked the game at first but it seems to get a bit samey. Might go back to Dark Messiah
That's when the plot goes derp, but the encounters get more challenging and fun.

IIRC, barrier spells were broken for some versions but should have been fixed in one of the latest patches. At least on PC.
