Unfortunately Obsidian is the best place for Sawyer to be since every other developer making RPGs is either worse at it or not a good fit.Why do you hate Obsidian so much, Roguey? Do you hope their bankruptcy will finally drive Sawyer into your desperate arms?
I think this sums up Roguey's entire persona. That makes a disturbing amount of sense.
Two weeks before the ~holidays~ doesn't bode well for this product's stability/quality. Knights of the Old Republic 2 part 2 would be delightful, except this time they've been given years.
This actually started development a couple of months before New Vegas hit the streets. Two weeks before the ~holidays~ doesn't bode well for this product's stability/quality. Knights of the Old Republic 2 part 2 would be delightful, except this time they've been given years.
"Years" is a loaded and misleading way to put it. The game was announced on December 2011 and they started development also sometime in 2011. A year straight at most. THQ filed for bankruptcy a year later, on December 2012, halting development but the release date was already delayed before it came to that and assumptively, development started again sometime after the Ubisoft acquisition. So they had maybe two years and possibly some more at best.
I fear this will be yet another fine addition to Obsidian's catalogue of bugs.

I don't follow.
That is nothing special about Obsidian. It is usual that the publisher takes all the credit. But also much of the blame, should something go very wrong. Of course, most of the blame is redirected to the actual developer. Dodgy publishers!Wasn't it the same with New Vegas commercials (or do I misrecall)?
There's obviously some bad karma involved in mentioning Obsidian in marketing shit.

I enjoy the misery of others
That really was a horrible deal on their part.I wonder if Obsidian gets a cut - I guess that'll depend on the metacric score as usual, lol.
of course it has to be contemporary. they want to make contemporary satire. it's the best of its kind. perhaps you can mention something better? An embarrassing game to be involved with, Obsidian must be feeling ashamed. It's not even decent comedy either, SP hasn't been "funny" for years and even when it was, it was at a low-brow level, and it was just allegory based on contemporary events - things that won't be funny in 12 months or more.
South Park may be a little long in the tooth, but it's still funnier than Family Guy's FRICK'N CONSTANT employment of pop culture non sequiturs and slapstick. An embarrassing game to be involved with, Obsidian must be feeling ashamed. Better contemporary satire? I wouldn't know, and couldn't care. But the idea that feces jokes and casual antisemitism, as well as a general tone of immaturity, are in any way "funny" to an adult is ludicrous. I'm sure there exists better contemporary satire out there, because I could not imagine anything worse than SP.of course it has to be contemporary. they want to make contemporary satire. it's the best of its kind. perhaps you can mention something better? An embarrassing game to be involved with, Obsidian must be feeling ashamed. Haven't watched it in years and never watched much to begin with, but some classic moments still come to mind. Like the 'Tom Cruise in the closet' episode for example.... "Get back in that closet Tom!"An embarrassing game to be involved with, Obsidian must be feeling ashamed.
