Mine is coming tomorrow. I own first gen elite which is great (a pair of AA eneloops inside one of the highlights - the other pair in reserve) but wanted to try something else. Elite has four back triggers that you can map to buttons and then use right stick and buttons at the same time which feels like cheating sometimes.

I also want to get the game as I used to love EU stuff and it supposedly delivers in this regard. I hope there's a sale soon or I'll venture to the seas.

FINALLY, a proper Sekiro-like fight:



This is what this game really needed. Not even that many just a few more to break the monotomy of all those stupid beasts.

Malicos was a pretty cool character, too bad the witch sucked. Also, the voice acting when you talk to her after the fight was atrocious. CLEARLY not the same actress. She sounds like Mathesar from Galaxy Quest. They went all out with cinematics and real actors but apparently they had to cut corners a few times.

Whether you buy it from Aliexpress, Temu, Amazon, or Maxgaming it doesn't matter, Gamesir has partnership with all of them. Just pick the one that has the cheapest delivery.

It was more what if i get a dud from Aliexpress. I ordered from there before but shady site is shady.

Just to test my luck i decided to try it out. Found an 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wukong Edition (the Chinese candy colors on the regular version are faggy lel) for like 26 euros. Let's see what i'm gonna get lmao.

My biggest gripe with this game (and the sequel) is the shoddy animation work, which results in messy combat because of poorly telegraphed attacks. Playing on the highest difficulty is frustrating when it should be satisfying to overcome a challenging boss. Even their best fights don't come even close to the weakest ones in Sekiro because of the jank. Western devs just can't develop good combat.

Maybe i should have mentioned i've been tempering my expectations since this is a failstream game, so i wasn't expecting it to be even remotely close to anything by FromSoft. What i said about Malicos applies to the problem we were discussing earlier, about the game lacking in cool bosses. For like an eternity you are subject to beasts and animals.

As for the jank, it's there but it's not impossible to get a sense of what the timings are.

Anyway, by God the witch is now tagging along and ALL the dialogue is now terrible. WTF is this can i kick her out of an airlock?

You mean in the sequel, right? Because i'm pretty sure this game is close to done.

To be honest i'm amazed the game held out so long before the writers shit the bed. The story was bland but inoffensive, and i wasn't hating it until now. Hell i didn't even hate the ugly negress which is impressive.

It's like for a time i was transported back to a run of the mill mid-2000 game but the game snapped back into current year at the last minute.
