There's unmarked NPCs you can have full conversations with during some quests. I don't think there's a list anywhere, I should start keeping track of them.
The receptionist during your very first(and ONLY the first) visit to Nem'ro's instance as a bounty hunter is one of them.

Only reason I notice them is because I like to read the flavor text(right-click text) so I click on everyone and sometimes they have full conversations.
ODX-9, Bounty Hunter phase in Balmorra at the end of the Chaos at Droid Factory quest. Short, but unmarked conversation.

Also, there are NPCs you can talk to that aren't so obvious. Sometimes you have to back out of an auto-started conversation then go talk to the NPC.

Bonus points if you fall down now after being frozen in midair, because the ping decided to explore the 5 digit range for a few moments. :obviously:

EVER
ESPECIALLY IF THEY IMPRISONED IT BECAUSE IT WAS TOO DANGEROUS

It is always the root of shit going wrong

I understand her being naive and an interjection would have been better to point out that she's too naive

the obvious tension between imperial army/sith really should have been explored more(is to some degree with agent)

These tensions always felt tacked on for me. The Sith Empire is directly descended from the original Sith Empire where the populace worshipped the Sith Lords as gods. I don't buy them resenting the Sith, unless there was a large population admixture in the time they remained hidden.

Nigga please. Just find a bro Juggernaut and ask him for a force push during a duel. Make sure to time your jumping correctly. Best use a Sorcerer yourself, so you can pull him up afterwards and plant emergency phase walk.

I don't buy them resenting the Sith,
It's easy to resent them when you see them kill a family member for no good reason

Sith are just people sure some of them are assholes, some dicks and some nice people like this Archaeologist Lord you met on Tantooine, I don't buy this bs about dark or light side its like calling guns bad cause they be used to kill people. Did not played much republic side but met already couple of Jerk ass, arrogant and cuntish Jedi as well, speaking about Lucas totally not Dune I love it both planet quest and Bounty Hunter ones were fast paced and fun unlike Naar Shada which dragged a bit at the end.

(Again Bounty Hunter Quest there however was fun between this fatso Twillek and Mako old flame).

Most sith are simply raised believing to be a superior being and everyone else is dirt beneath your boots. Now add the power of lightning at your fingertips and no real repercussions for killing someone, as long as nobody sees it directly. Or you kill every witness as well.
The sith empire has everything to be the dominant force in the galaxy, but it's hard to accomplish anything if at any time some shitlord can kill your admirals and comandeer half of the fleet to parade above his mansion, because someone with his status deserves a proper guard. :hahano:

Imperials would be much stronger with subjugated siths that perform a similar function as the jedis do in the republic. And honestly, it's debatable if the sith are even needed at all when you could just have trained jedi hunters instead of the power mad sith.
Sith going around fucking absolutely everything up like emotional teenagers is basically the reason anything ever goes wrong.

It did not helped that Empire started to train anybody onto Sith before the war, its question about individuals who should be masters of themselves first before given any power, but sure both (((Jedi))) and [[[Sith]]] philosophies are shit cause they skip this fundamental question of mastering not suppressing nor indulging your emotions. Still I am more partial to Empire of course the Republic is uthopy and its always failing even in Librul setting like Star Wars, when Empire under the Thrawn, Emperor of Fells dynasty was force of order and law in Galaxy. Finishing the Tantooine quest line Sure one could only wish KOTOR had so much shekels cause this planet was so puny in KOTOR I.

Multiple. Q'Kal, Grataa

Bounty hunter phase in Dromund Kaas during the mission "Hail the Conquering Hero". You have to back out of the auto-started conversation, run past the NPC, and find him off to the side. Full conversations, completely unmarked.
They will be missing after the conversation so you must back out of the conversation to speak to them.

Torian makes a surprise appearance in one of the cutscenes in the same quest above. You have to pay close attention, he's only visible for a few seconds.

The more I think about it, the less sense it makes. The sith are the complete antithesis to the ideals of the imperials. Sith are all about personal power and personal advancement no matter what the cost is(to yourself or others.)
Really, there was no thought put into it beyond "empire bad and sith bad therefore perfect fit" despite the countless historic examples of these very things never mixing well and the latter always causing the downfall of the former.

Yes, yes, "sith founded the empire" and what have you — doesn't mean they deserve to rule it when they're clearly not fit to rule a dog kennel.

spent a few minutes thinking about the empire without the sith and force users that served the emperor without constant backstabbing and infighting
then it hit me
