Trooper storyline is great. You're a humble badass doing badass things with great one liners.

Its has its moments for sure, it gets better when you turn off alignment change spoiler and can marvel at mystery of light and dark side, shame you cannot remove the automatic gain all together though, plus you get cool looking gear fast:

You should of course play as renegade Trooper its more lulzy this way. :hero:

P.S. Is this intentional to give you no cool down arena fire mode on level 10? Also you want flame-thrower play as Powertech.

I... think you should get Eternal Champion? Can't remember if it's a legacy title or character title tho. But maybe that's the one you get for doing it without dying? KotBLERGH was so meh I struggle to remember. Though I have to admit the Eternal Championship itself was neat.

For sure you get Sprint Champion for beating all 10 rounds under... I think it was 15 mins.

Honestly this shit is so annoying. One of the reason I stopped trying to play the game.

Like fuck man, why bother with LS DS options when you passively get the DS LS points.

I was trying to play a grey Jedi Knight too at that time, mostly light side but an arrogant prick kind of guy.

I guess some late game equipment locks depending when you are LS or DS but passively getting LS/DS point is decline

It was BugoWare's attempt to bring the "massive" back to MMO. Every 15 or so minutes the game would tally the actions of all players and the amount of DS/LS points these generate. Then it'd inform you"The Light Side is getting stronger" or the other way around. Upon reaching a set advantage, one side would "win" locking the whole counter for several hours, during which
a) players declared for that side would receive some sort of bonus rewards
b) bosses would spawn with their alignment matching the winning one - killing them would allow the loosing side to regain momentum

I am rather indifferent to the whole thing, though it did lead to an increase of DS points needed to reach thersholds - significantly at that - making it harder to obtain the coveted Dark Side III look for my innumerable Sith.

You can always switch your alignment with one click to counteract your gain for a while.

At least you don't have to make a sad face like poor Codexia, who was "balanced", then Bioware changed something while I wasn't around, now she is maximum LS. Sad.

Yeah, used to be the flame thrower was universal for PTs and Mercs. Then BugoWare streamlined it away :argh:
What annoys me far more is the dumbing down to static bossfights now. Most of them seem to be immune to stuns, interrupts and knockbacks. So you just stand there and facetank.
To quote the Inqui:"Yawn."

Speshul attacks used to be deadly. One missed interrupt and you were toast. Or at least missing the wrong one.
I remember an intense fight against the JK boss on Tatooine, with lots of frantic pushing, jumping, kicking, sabre wards and... weeping, when you knew the fight was now unwinnable after a missed one WTFPWND half of your hp away. Respawn, run back and try again.
But, it made you feel good after you finally won. :obviously:

Oh yeah, nope. For that sort of challenge, go for Master Hard Mode Flashpoints and Veteran Hard Mode Operations. And NiMs of course.

I still fondly remember the hilarity which ensued when I - still pretty clueless at the game - missed the 15 seconds long casting prompt and allowed
Darth Baras to cast The Emperor's Voice.

I'd really enjoy a high definition UI. Everything just gets scaled up and I still have scrollbars everywhere, kind of annoying.

[stuff about pushing people off ledges]
Along cometh Onslaught. A large tower with a deep chasm inside. Line your targets up, push them down. Make a stupid face when they simply reappear and land behind you.

No fun allowed!

I swear Norfleet AND Sawyer are working for Biioware now. :argh:
To be fair, I was surprised I was even able to knock them back considering they're minibosses.

Background specific dialogue :M

How you get the normal dialogue options instead of the ''Don't know what I am saying'' half of time wheel Comrade?
They use it in the expansions(starts in one of them, anyways) for nearly all non-main story dialogues. I prefer it heavily over the dialogue wheel.
IMO they should have switched to it entirely. Saves a lot on VO and allows much better responses/writing. Especially considering all the various VOs needed due to careers+male/female

Then again, having important lines voiced does add a lot. :M
Maybe a balance is needed

That is only for the stuff added between KOTFE and KOTET, when Bioware wanted to save money on voice acting for the 16 player characters. So they made a silent protagonist with this type of dialog, claiming it to be "the classic KOTOR style everyone demanded". Heh, yeah sure...

But that way Bioware could add extra alliance alerts (= companion recruitment missions) on a whim, instead of having all planned ahead and written for 16 VAs. Sadly that meant we never got to hear our chars react to shooting Skadge in the face. Sad.

There's one for Booty Hunters in Onslaught actually, guess Bioware wanted to ride the mandalorian hype train. See, Bioware had a featurette on their hp about that former mandalorian faction on Mek-sha, about design, background etc, making everyone think it would be some big new player... except, 10 lines of dialoge and that's it. If you even choose them, they are kinda sorta the DS option.
If you are a BH yourself you get extra dialog, and if you have Shae Vizla with you even she gets some.
But, if you picked the Rodian, who Gault intruduces as his trading partner? Gault will not comment on anything, and the Rodian will even talk about Gault as if he weren't there.

Geee Bioware, are you trying to tell us something with that? :hahano:

Getting deeper with my Commando and must say its fun so far maybe cause Corrusant is so much bigger city than DK was and maybe cause they did managed to surprise me couple of times also Senate inquiry scene was hilarious:

Any more Light side classes worth picking?
