Yeah, I'm sure he does. I was just responding to the general commentary on dev shops.Emil probably has his own office.
I knew a lot of programmers who were passionate about games and still lasted only a few years in the gaming industry before migrating back over into the non-games space. The pay is worse and the hours generally are too, so as a programmer, you have to *really* love game dev (or have no other options) to stick, I think.
Starfield Scheduled for Late 2021 Launch, Barring COVID-Related Delays – Rumour
Journalist Jeff Grubb says Bethesda plans to show off the game at E3, and then launch it a few months later.

Starfield is easily one of the most highly anticipated upcoming releases, which is surprising given the fact that we’ve seen nothing of the game other than a logo. The promise of a sci-fi open world RPG developed by Bethesda is an alluring one though, and there’s been more than a few questions about when exactly we’ll see it, and then get to play it. It seems both of those things will be happening relatively soon.
GamesBeat journalist Jeff Grubb recently said during a Dealer Gaming stream that the plan for Bethesda is to follow a marketing and launch cycle for Starfield similar to that of Fallout 4. According to Grubb, there’s a 90% likelihood that the game’s going to be unveiled in full at E3, and then will launch later in the year itself. He says that that’s what Bethesda has planned right now, barring any COVID-related delays and hurdles, of course.
Other insiders have also recently suggested that launching Starfield in late 2021 is part of Bethesda’s plan, with COVID being the only potential complication.
Whenever it does launch, it’ll be interesting to see how Microsoft handles its exclusivity. Director Todd Howard has said that it would be “hard to imagine” Starfield releasing as an Xbox console exclusive, though Microsoft’s recent statements about wanting to provide exclusive content for Game Pass might contradict that.
that's where you are wrong, kiddoI just hope
If they're smart they allow for the engine to be close enough to that of Fallout 4 so that sex mods can just be ported over with minimal effort. D1P can mean Day 1 Purchase, Day 1 Patch and Day 1 Preorder, and now it can mean Day 1 Pornmods.Let's see the sex mods first.
I'll take four!Oblivion in space
I think hans zimmer would be the perfect choice for a space epic. Have been listening to some of his sound tracks and the ambience that the interstellar ost sets is very nice.I found Soule's game soundtrack work after Total Annihilation disappointing. Supreme Commander had some ok music but besides that there was the DOW theme, apart from that nothing was really memorable.
All these Oblivion/Skyrim memes wouldn't even be half as powerful without Jeremy Soule's mesmerizing music. And now he's "retired". For that alone I think TES VI won't even be half as successful as Skyrim.
Consumers will consume.
