No that's complete bullshit. The game has single player and you don't have to be online to play it.

I think it started out as online only but it's not that way anymore.

Something else: how many of those 1000 planets will be gas giants? Because if they're going for a somewhat realistic representation, quite a few of them will be.

I assume all 1000 planets will be planets you can land on and explore, gas giants will probably exist only as background scenery.

I'm curious about environmental challenges. Low and high gravity and pressure for starters can have fun mechanics, temperature, acid atmosphere, winds etc.

Actually, I'm more irritated at that little "5 XP" you see in the centre of the screen. I'd missed it in the MS showcase, but Gopher pointed it out in his impressions video - both the XP and the location discovery feedback are plastered in big fuck-off notifications right in the middle of the screen. I was already pissed at the giant circle in the lower left corner, but this really settles it: maybe Bethesda can into space, but not into UI design.

fortunately thats seems to be easy to fix for modders. also this should not be shotgun, thats retarded, its should be big game double rifle and one could even argue squareness comes from super heavy deep rifling preventing gun to blow up from over pressure. cause otherwise squar bore is retarded too unless its some stabilized sabot like tank smoothbore gun.

at least its not complete dogshit like doom 2016 where enemies glow gay orange and game force u to make some glory hole kills.

i never seen that kind of error in beth game tho gets me worried that vaginas work there on weapon assets, it can turn out like downdromeda gun modeled backwards etc.

I wonder what Starfield will use for its UI.

I bet they will just rename flash to AwesomeUI Engine (tm) by Bethesda (c) totally not Flash (*) just like they did with Gamebryo.
Bethesda magic they are talking about in interviews is actually necromancy used to reanimate dead engines.

Yes, and this was also brought up in interviews with modders working on Fo4 total conversions, it's been growing harder to get Flash devs to change or extend the default UI.

The Pipboy UI is probably the most horrendous UI experience I have ever dealt with in any game. No words can express how much I loathed that shit.

hide ui for fallout 4 is just plugin with couple scripts

Yes, because of Bethesda's stupidity. This is from the creator of FO4's Hide UI:
"Determination will get you far! I dug into the source code and found some very rare methods I could exploit to control some parts of the UI. Praise the geniuses behind FO4Edit, Caprica, and Champollion. When F4SE has UI functions, more detailed and configurable HUD mods will emerge."

If Bethesda fixes their code for Starfield (which isn't that farfetched, since FO4 used Flash for UI, so they will probably have to fully overhaul Starfield's UI), then it will only be possible if the future "Starfield Script Extender" will offer alternative solutions for this.
It's worth noting that there's no FO4SE version of Hide UI. So I have no idea if the Script Extender even offers any way of doing it.

If it doesn't, it's because nobody cared enough to reverse engineer it and write the hooks needed.
What are you guys after that Gopher's Immersive HUD doesn't offer? It's based on r2k's HUD Framework and highly configurable, so there was probably little need for Silverlock to do anything on the Script Extender side after that.

Modding aside, it's downright embarrassing that after some two decades of recurring subpar UIs and modders showing them how to fix 'em, Bethesda still can't seem to wrap their heads around the requirements of a good PC interface. I know - why bother when mods will fix it? - but then I doubt that Beth would do any better if mods didn't fix it every time either.

as much as i respect sacrifice of doing the worst job on earth (maybe beside being main dish on clintons orgy); programming, i wouldnt worry about it. there is always some talented programmer and quite frankly they are cheap (just ask cd project red how they cheap out on already cheap senior programmers and lost them all before cybertrash). what is not cheap is making fully voiced npcs/followers. it may have something with feminism that put vagina in labour markets, gave it property rights in simp economy and artificially bloated its value that should be goat or 2 for life service like it is in patriarchal tribes.

success or failure of starfield at least short term will come from quality of npcs u can recruit. this shit modders cant really do, after like over 10 years there is only couple good voiced followers for skyrim and most of em use recycled skyrim voice resources. there is not single one good female follower that uses fan provided voice acting, prove me wrong.

what is not cheap is making fully voiced npcs/followers.
if you don't have to deal with the SAG they cost almost nothing compared to basically anything else
most big-budget english language titles are fucked because you'll get raped by the SAG
hm, u have to add cost of renting studio and good voice actors probably cost more than some 50 year old fat chick that voices 3d porn vids in her cat filled apartment on 20 usd microphone for some jewtreon scammer like studio fow, not that she isnt overpayed.

also since todd added p90 its only fair the g11
