I love buying all the newest DLCs at a discounted preorder price and then being the bitch host for my friends because apparently they don't have the money to get all the DLCs. Chumps they are or smart???
Never buy PDX DLC. Always use Cream.
How does Cream handle updates? Do you have to update everything when a new patch is released?
Patching replaces the Steam_API so you have to overwrite it again but that's it.
Yeah, but do you have to go to rus.cin or whatever that forum is called every time to search a new version, or can you just reuse what you already downloaded and be done with it?

You can keep everything else the same. Might need to update the .txt with the latest DLC if one comes out. That's it.

There is a utility called cream installer that will auto-search for what you need for whatever you have installed and do things for you. It doesn't install the actual DLC files though so you need to do that yourself if new ones are released.

Stop supporting the Swedish Homosexual Agenda.
I only support the stellaris, won't touch other paradox games. Anyways, I won't be at my desk for awhile. Going to a funeral service in a couple days. But have fun playing the stellaris MP.

Playing MP is a valid reason to buy all DLC, its endless hours of fun.

But friends should probably pool cost rather than use a pay pig. But then again its small change to someone actually working. We are all adults here.

I am horrifed, RIP my mod list and my 120 or so tradition trees because paradox reworked basic mechanics and move stuff around randomly to put in their new focuses (traditions already were mini focus trees that were adaptable to your circumstances ffs) and most of those mods probably won't ever get updated.

It's not like late game will be fixed regardless.
Yep, just loaded it up today after a few Mos and had over 70 broken mods lmao. Including a bunch of music mods for some reason, which have been fine for years.

Now to spend the next 5 hours pinpointing which one is causing a crash.

The true solution is to pirate it or "encourage" PDX to stop being such greedy fuckers and actually give a decent discount on their DLCs. 50% on a 10 year old DLC that's still like 20 euros that adds like 1 or 2 somewhat interesting features but underwhelming is pretty bullshit.
Even Amplitude are more generous with their DLCs, and they try their damnedest to copy PDX.
