staff is really good, but the stats I did are kinda suboptimal
should've gone full AGI and PER

What's up with your armor, mate? Light armor for body and shoes, medium armor for your hands and heavy armor for your head? I suppose you don't mind the helmet's reducing your vision by 3 points? xD

The amount of times I take aim only to click next to the enemy instead of on them, causing Dirwin to move towards them instead of shooting, are innumerable.
That's what I get for choosing to play as a bow wielding pussy.

shit is even worse if you have screen effects like drugs or bad trip
the screen gets distorted but the game space stays the same, makes shit like this happen even more

light armour body/shoes for the dodge, I can mitigate the maluses for heavy helmet and medium gloves that does not mess with dodge chance (and i wanted some extra protection for some body parts)
wanted to find unique gear to replacing helmet and gloves, so i was not bothering in looking for more options on the market

Yeah, you complete the prologue and then you get thrown into the main game. You'll choose a character after a few dialogue lines with Verren.

PlayerEmers Do I see this correctly that you're missing the

extra STAT POINT (strength, perception, agility, vitalty, will power) from the Boulder Circle?

Boulder_Glow.png

If you go to the Order's Prison, find and read the folio on gems and then return with the correct gem (sapphire, ruby or emerald) to the Boulders Circle at night, you will get the extra stat point plus 5 points in health/mana/physical resistance depending on the gem.

Wait, wait, wait, you mean

you saved the guy who was transformed into the manticore by pouring the Essence of Delivery over him during the fight. The reward for saving instead of killing him is twice the money, twice the reputation gain and later on you can find the guy you saved in an inn in Brynn where he gives you a uniqe item as a reward.

Don't forget to get the extra stat point from the Boulder Circle, either (see my post here https://rpgcodex.net/forums/threads...available-on-early-access.115854/post-9267558).

Time to get some cheevos.
drDFt70.jpeg

Later nerds.
I hate myself

And just as I post this, confidently asserting my smugness, I run into a group of 3 high tier bandits on my way back to camp and I ran out of arrows.
I fucking hate this game.

Damn these newfags get feistier with each passing year (and dumber). Listen here newfag, I never cheat, I just saved up the AP for achievement purposes.
And that's not cheating, that's just clever use of game mechanics.

Ah, sorry, my bad. I don't care for achievements, so I don't know anything about them. However, having to level up 14 times without spending the received Ability Poins just in order to get some nonsensical online award sounds like a really dumb and frustrating way of spending one's time, no? Wasn't the point of playing video games to have fun? Whatever happened to that?

Although it is kinda superfluous, cause when you're done with a dungeon you're heading back to town anyway so there's no need to store the loot in the stash. Useful for commodities, but the profit margins aren't big enough to warrant that activity honestly. I imagine it's super useful if you're hitting several distant dungeons though.

It's been a New York minute since I played Stoneshard, so it's a bit blurry, but I'm pretty sure Osbrook used to only go up to 2 skulls, and that new contracts didn't take as long to appear allowing you to grind out easy contracts to gear yourself out.
They've really pushed the transition between 2 skulls and 3 skull contracts to the edge. I've saved up as much gold as I could and when 3 skulls started appearing I went all in on gear.
Plus most of the upgrades aren't really useful in the early game. They're a late game quality of life luxury (apart from the stash space and the workbench for fodder crafting).

???

The profit margins on commodities is a 100% if you sell to the right vendor:

Beer/wine/cider go to the inns at Brynn, grain goes to the bakery in Brynn, salt goes to the spice shop in Brynn, char coal and timber go to the rotating elf/dwarf/Nistrian vendor at the docks.

You buy those commodities for 200 gold each and sell them for 400 gold each in Brynn.

If you look at your map, you will notice that each town that gives out contracts is surrounded by places that sell commodities. For example, near the Rotten Willow Tavern you can buy char coal and timber. So, when you go there to do contracts, you also buy commodities and then return to Brynn.

The supply of commodities is sadly limited (replenishes after 24h-72h), however, you can easily get five pieces per stay at a town (=3 contracts) at 1000 gold and sell it for 2000 gold in Brynn. That's a quick 1000 gold profit.

If you're super smart, you get the trade preference upgrade as early as possible. In addition to the 1000 gold profit, you'll get 200 reputation points in Brynn along with it. And that every time you go to Brynn in order to sell you shit.

You should be going to Brynn regularly anyway in order to exchange the Ancient Coins at the bank. The conversion rate is 4 pieces of gold per 1 Ancient Coin as opposed to 2.5 gold per Ancient coin you get from regular vendors.

Also, the money you get for gold, silver and jewels at the jewelry in Brynn is significantly higher than even from vendors in towns at Respect.

Plus most of the upgrades aren't really useful in the early game. They're a late game quality of life luxury (apart from the stash space and the workbench for fodder crafting).

As jackofshadows already mentioned, you can convert food to fodder whenever and wherever you want using the Crafting skill which you start the game with:

Too much effort for meager gains, and the merchants have limited gold. I'd much rather run dungeons than LARP as a Jew.
