Meh, standard procedure, every MMO I played was the same thing, nínguem nos quer.

Besides, "brazilian-free" could be used as a strong selling point for most MMO players...Hell, I hardly survived playing on a BR-heavy server, with the "Ronaldo...brilha muito." jokes ad nauseam.
Not really...I could buy and subscribe on wow just fine. Warhammer Online, which is also by EA I could buy with no issues either, the manuals and shit were even in pt-br.

The only games I know where Brazil is ip-blocked are some from Nexon (like Vindictus or DFO), but that's because their publisher license only allows them to take money from kwans.

There are a few threads here, but it's all tl;dr, and also full with strange language stuff.
Anyone here actually playing it who can give some more serious thoughts about it?

I'd really like to try it out, but I don't want to spend the money just to try. So, if there are guest trials (I guess, since most MMOs have that), I'd be grateful ;)

You sure ? My Synthtech is only 131 at the moment. I'm lv.21 and on the final story mission of Balmorra. My Arch is around 161 and Underworld trading is lagging at 101 or so. Space daily gives me 1000 credits or so and the crafting missions take about 500 creds per shot.

Hmmmm... I guess not. Are you trying to get Blue/Purple schematics for all recipes? Maybe Synth is just that expensive... I ran with Biochem and got all the way to 400 without running any missions for ingredients since the plants and monsters were enough for the Green recipes. Was just running Diplo missions for companion gifts.

Well it could be TOR was rushed out the door and the Beta ends in February, they only released it in North America and (parts of) Europe leaving out Asia that is a pretty big part of the MMO market.

If you're looking to invest a lot of time building not only your character, but involving yourself with a guild and and climbing PvP ranks or be somewhat competitive in PvE - then no, I would not recommend SWTOR. This game won't last. It's not a WoW killer and the type of content it delivers is quickly depleted.

If your favorite part about an MMORPG is just developing a character in a persistent world then kind of shelving it when you're done, then SWTOR is a good investment. I haven't even played for a month yet and I'm max level and getting epic gear. I still have 12 days left on my free month. Needless to say I'm not re-subscribing as by the time the 12 days are over I'll have most of the shit you can get in the game.

I need crystals and artifact fragments. The latter I don't think I can find anywhere but missions. I don't find enough of crystals in the main game to completely stop crystal missions either. The third ingredient is usually some sort of gel or substance (different for each tier). Each mission that provides it provides a lot of it, but I think its a mission only item and not harvestable. Blues and Purples also require underworld metals. Purples require the rarer type of metals that I almost never get from missions so If I want some purple stuff to wear, it gets real difficult. In any case, I've decided that I'll get to Lv.50 or whatever while completely ignoring crafting.

here's more or less how crafting in tor works:
you have a crafting skill which relies on one gathering skill and one mission skill.
the gathering skill provides three kinds of materials two of those from nodes (with archeology being an oddball since it has two different kinds of nodes, artifacts and crystals, and yes, you can get artifact fragments from gathering) about equally, the last one can be gained via companion missions (cheaper, usually) or bought at the crafting skills vendor. those mats are everything you need to push your skill.

the mission skill provides two kinds of mats and companion gifts, the materials in turn come in two rarities, one blue, one purple. purples you only get from crits on a mission. generally, your crafting only needs one of those two kinds.

do not, under any circumstances try to outfit yourself with purples via crafting if you have armormech or synthweaving.
do not upgrade your armor via crafting if your crafting is armormech or synthweaving. grab some custom sets from the ah or craft them yourself, then just keep your armorings up to date every couple levels, and buy mods and enhancements with commendations or from the ah. otherwise you will be p. much always broke.

full armor sets cost a fuckton of mats compared to mods and just aren't worth it unless they are nice looking custom armor sets or lvl 50 purples. just keep pushing synthweaving with the cheapest stuff to craft (should be belts, which are also the only piece i haven't seen as a custom version yet).

Sorry, a bit of an off-topic here. I don't think it's important enough to open a new topic.
F2P Age of Conan is playable or you're severely excluded from the game's features? There's IP block for adorable macacoBR players like me?

Thanks. This is indeed what I favor most.
So, then, I'll get to play this - once I am through with all the Steam specials from Christmas & New Year...

I went over to the official site because I was maybe interested in the game, but then it turns out that the full version costs 150 dollars and can't even be bought digitally. What the fuck?

Christ is the raiding in this game elementary and horrible. Was planning on playing for a little while, at least level an alt or two but after experiencing the 'end game' PvP and PvE I will hold off on that. Utterly disappointing and truly soul crushing an endeavor. Easy beyond words, but at the same time buggy as fucking hell. Oh and did I say elementary? I'm pretty sure Molten Core from early WoW could be considered a masterpiece in comparison to this dreck. Oh well, hopefully TSW won't suck ass, but again I am not exactly optimistic at this point.

I bought mine on DVD for $59.99 at Gamestop. You get 30 days free after that.

Well about that ... you need to input your credit card info (meaning, subscribing) before you can get those 30 days, also have read that if you want to cancel you better delete your card info from billing since, I want to call it a bug but, without doing that it might "re-sub it" for you (no details, no card info for then to bill).

You can also use a per-payed card (the safest option) meaning we are really looking at 59.99 + 29.99 ... $89.98.

Pre-emptively call your CC issuer and tell them to block all charges. If Bioware/EA tries to do it "accidentally" then your bankers and their lawyers will rape them over attempted fraudulent charges.

Meh. I tend to prefer straight up tank and spank gear check encounters rather then the modern MMO fights which all seem to involve a new gig to learn. Quit WoW after every second boss fight involved the entire guild do Dance Dance Revolution all over the encounter room or die. People have mediocre connections, some people are elderly, why require this twitch crap and punish guilds that don't put all potential recruits through a grueling reflex test course?

That being said, SWTOR's endgame is half broken right now, especially balance wise. Some flashpoints are easy, some are extremely hard, some are plain broken. And there's no rime or reason as to why one is easy and one is hard. For example for Hard more flashpoints the easiest is the Hard version of the lowest level flashpoint of the game, so far so good right? Well the second easiest is one of the very last Flashpoints of the game. The third is one of the middle ones, but it's end boss is currently broken where if you reach 10% his health while he's doing a specific channeled attack, he never goes to the next mode of the battle and so, never dies. Then there's a flashpoint where a miniboss is the hardest boss out of all the flashpoints. Randomness.
