I don't think making an elven paladin is a good idea.
After that review, if I ever try this game that is only character I will make. The porn sounds while fighting sounds like a good way to make the game at least a bit interesting to play.

This particular steam review might actually push the game's steam score if it's upvoted enough :D

Cue the SJW complaining about how people make female characters just to hear them moan when they're hurt.

thanks for the LP.

People's reactions to your "it's ok for what it is" comment on SCL confirms massive D&D butthurt over this thing. If you divorce yourself from the D&D aspect then this is no less tactical than other ARPGs. Torchlight, for example, was less tactical than this game and I enjoyed it.

Yep. I'm enjoying it as a game, and there are plenty of D&D elements despite it not being a pure adaptation of 5E.

I do think the DM mode and co-op for both the story mode and custom sessions are very cool. They're not getting enough credit for this part in my opinion whether it's a full on RPG or not.

I can see people being put off by it's action RPG elements and the 50% D&D rules, especially here in the Codex... it is after all dedicated to RPGs and punches are not pulled around here, which is part of why I like the Codex in the first place.

I plan to spend a lot of time with SLC, but that doesn't mean I'm not hungry for more cRPGs and would love a full D&D 5E adaptation.

Peace.

I'll PM you the steam code in about 10 hours.

I expect negative and witty review, don't care about druids at all, they are not core D&D (Edit: to me).

Yeah, it's been decades and any races and classes not in in AD&D 1st and maybe Unearthed Arcana feel new and goofy to me.

I just went and looked and the Druid was a class in AD&D 1st. The memory, it fails. I thought it was 2nd Edition for some reason.

Druids turn into bears and fuck shit up with their teeth and claws. If you're playing one as a hippie pussy, you're Doing It Wrong.

Give the game to me and I'll verbally crush this popamoler by explaining him with detail why his opinion is shit and that he should be ashamed that he ever came to such a nonsense conclusion.

People just lack imagination. Watch a nature documentary on savage hunting animals, or awesome natural disasters. Mother nature can be cruel and she does not give a shit about our irrelevant plights. A Druid can be just as distant and cold as that, if that is your wish.

I was just messing with y'all about the hippie pussy, they are actually cheesy (OP) as fuck, that's why I dislike them (I'm a masochist I like challenge).

Ya know, I'm the kinda guy that thinks you need to give a game a few hours before you can create an informed opinion about it. People who say shit like "lol i played dis gaem for five second and uninstalled it IT REELY SUX" clearly don't have two brain cells to rub together. But this game. Damn, this game.

I, ahem, rented it and started playing it with the thought "C'mon, it can't be that bad."

Fuck me. Fuck me. Fuck me. Half an hour and I was done. Everything -- every fucking thing -- is wrong with SCL. The art, the animations, the voice acting, the rules (this is not my beautiful 5th edition!) are all wrong.

Cool-downs, healing attacks and skill trees?

Fuck it. Fuck it. Fuck it.

I think you're not being completely honest with us. Let me put it this way: would you still enjoy playing it if it wasn't for an LP? What is there to enjoy? Combat? Story? Writing? Voiceover? Soundtrack? Visuals? It's all hopelessly B-grade.

Now just remove that extra zero and it'll be a pretty good assessment.

The propblem is a 10+ year old game has done it better. You would think it would look at NWN's strengths and weaknesses and do better by default. NWN may not have been the first game with a DM+ make youre own mods but it ook what that vampire game and improved on it. That's why it was succesasful (depsite all the crying). People still discuss the game and ask about mods even on the Codex. Do you see that happening with this game?

Doing worse than a 10+ year old game is EPIC FAIL.

\Too bad the game is Steam only. I want to try it so I can compelte the laughter. POR2 Part 2.
