I like these games because I enjoy the crafting and trying to make the best item to crush combat and managing my time well (newer games don't have this part though). These games are pretty chill and comfy.

Only one I finished was the PS2 remake of the very first one. Been wanting to keep going and look at another. Any recommendation from there? I found the first one very cute, and liked the general premise of collecting stuff and establishing a cute anime girl as a skilled professional. Was looking at the Gramnad or Iris titles maybe. If there's no notable conceptual or quality jump further down the series I might just keep picking out notable looking ones in production order.

Linca's ineptitude when it comes to human interactions makes sense given her background. She is the most recent 'Linca' to be ever created (at least we don't know if there are more of them) and her life outside was spent with Marion as her bodyguard, who is too overworked to devote her time to Linca and teach her ways of living in society, although she tries. Linca's example shows that even the most banal anime cliches can work if thoroughness is exerted. Overall Ayesha's character and dialogue writing is surprisingly competent compared to other entries in the series and many other JRPGs in general, and the biggest reason I loved this game so much. It's one of the rare cases when I actually didn't mind the slice-of-life aspect of the story, but embraced it.

Sophie is in my opinion back to being better than most (despite the nu-designs being far from the subdued and earthy-coloured Ayesha), until Mysterious drops the ball with L&S again
