At least the threads spawned by BG3 are fun

EDIT: is it neutral enough?
You're sounding a little too positive here. Please tone it down or you'll have to be kicked out for being off topic.

About Larian....

Shittesda is like a badly distilled homebrew booze. It smells like shit, tastes like shit, and your head starts hurting really bad soon enough.
Obsidian is like the wine made from the finest grapes by the skillful winemaker, but it went sour in the process. You can still taste the good parts, but overall it's no good.
Stygian Software is like finest Hefeweizen. You just can't get enough of this and want more, and more.
Iron Tower Studios is like vintage cognac. It took years to make, but you will savor every moment of it.
CDPR is like some trendy cocktail. It looks nice, tastes sweet, but you can't shake the notion that you're drinking something very gay.
And Larian... it's like a non-alcoholic beer. It's not bad, but dull and you still don't understand why you drink it at all.

It's either going to be "taking itself too seriously", or "stupid jokes everywhere".

BG 3 will be a game

Fuck no baby, it will be an experience

An experience you'll forget about 2 weeks after it's over
And after all these years a Larian RPG is still the most popular RPG on steam...hmmm. Seems people like this experience for longer than 2 weeks...
Look at whatever other games are popular right now then try to convince me that popularity means anything. The easiest way to become popular is to appeal to as many people as possible, which means including the LCDs.

But Divinity OS2 is also critically acclaimed with a 90+ meta score and even won a prize on the codex.

Your comment smells like the typical rabid larian hater OntopoCOPE.

If anything this proves my point. Since when is what's popular indicative of what's good? If all you can say about a product is that it's popular, then that's pretty sad. You know what else is popular? meth. At least talk about immersion or something.

But it's more than just popular, it's also critically acclaimed and is still popular years after its release with hunderd thousand + positive reviews from actual players on steam. So by all metrics it's a great game.

Nothing proves your point besides your schizo opinion that is the extreme minority.

It's popular guys. it's popular. Is that what you base your opinion off of? Even the critics like it guys. Let's see if it's still remembered 20 years later like bg2 was.

The truth is that larian have no business calling this bg3, have no business calling anything bg3. It's a clear soulless passionless move on their part. Let the bad developers stay in their own lane. If they want to work on a legacy, they should have done a better job at making their own. They've been at it as long as bg has, and yet they failed and nobody cares about their old games, just the ones that are fresh in peoples mind. They have no longevity because when you appeal to the people they appeal to, they need new flash to keep their mind occupied at all times.
