There's something to do for the newbies. A lot of things really - but you're absolutely right in saying there's no content in the end game. But I'm definitely having fun trying out new specs with my Guardian.

Well, I'm playing it in reasonable sittings and it's still quite fresh. Suppose if I had a chance to have farmed out all instances by this point I'd feel different but so far I'm only properly familiar with CM.

Speaking of CM, looks like they sneak-fixed that shortcut for the Butler path. Still doesn't matter if you have a thief though.

butler? i think i did that last night. was funny using wall of reflect n watching the sniper critting themselves for 6k
And the final boss is that lizard on a raft right?
just dive into water and range him /afk
farmed in 30 mins

I'm more obsessed with World VS. Now. My world's taking a beating for 2 weeks straight, kinda wanna change stuff up..but you know how it is..
Dungeon Running with full Citadel of Flame is pretty EZ-mode though, although low HP could be an issue.
I enjoy the Spirit Weapon Master Build I'm running with now for PVE, so easy damage with 30 Zeal 30 Valor and 10 Honor.

But I'm debating whether I should go Zeal 15 / Valor 30 / Honor 20 / Virtue 5 for max Altruistic Healing options in World vs.

I tried my Engineer again... hit 62. I think I'm done with that class...so much micro in both PvE and World vs.
So much potential for brilliance and fuck up. And I'm just not that good of a player.

Check out the video to understand what I mean.

1 G = 100 gems now. LOL
My guild had a bulk gold purchase recently to fuel their halloween costume hobby. They simply bought gold from farmers and purchased gems for DLC fashions...
I took no part in that, but Arenanet has been pretty strict on SELLERS...not buyers. A guild mate got banned for selling a fellow guildie some gold, while the buyer is unpunished. I'm not sure why. I'm no economist, but I don't see gem prices dropping at all since more and more shit are getting sold at nonsensical price in the Trading post.

Top Tier Armor rune was hovering 2G a month back now is going at 6G...
IIRC, Farmer Gold Rate is at US$0.50 per Gold.

This forum thread explains it best.

That's the side. And yeah, the endboss is just about the easiest ever.

But! There was this place, you know where there's two giant trash packs in a cave that you could avoid by jumping on a rock and then going up the ramp? Saved a few minutes' worth of bother. Now, designers seem to have cut away a part of the rock, so you can't do that anymore. Of course, anyone that's able to drop an invis field on top of the end of the ramp effectively nullifies that fix anyway, but I guess that can go for a lot of places like that.

Re: Gold-Gems prices, isn't it tied to how much gold people spend for gems, so the more they spend on it, the higher the price goes? So basically by buying the gems from botters, people drive up official prices higher.

Now you can increase fov a bit by adding -testVerticalFov to the target line.

one thing i hate most about this game is how stealth works in high population area.
it's bad enough that in-game engine doesn't render it fast enough but the combat log doesn't even log hits on an invisible target.
i really don't understand how this combat log works sometimes.

Speaking of how things work, can I still do Act I/Act II hunts for books after it moves on to next chapters? I'm out of town now and apparently NOW they're actually hurrying up with next chapters, goddammit.

Wow is still the better game, in Gw2 you don't even have an auto-attack, pretty much laughable.
Not mentioning the speed of the combat, clearly the target demographic of it is the adhd crowd because you need to be mashing buttans at the speed of the light, and all the flashy shit that is going on in the screen just adds to the feeling of playing a assburgers simulator.

Wow has much better slower pacing without all the flashy shit.

So the Halloween event is pretty decent so far, if you don't like farming, there's an uncomplicated scavenging hunt, if you do like farming, go carve 150 pumpkins and collect candy (incidentally not a bad source of money if you get into a gate zerg), plus the totally derpy brawling.

Protip: If you want to carve pumpkins, just keep doing it in Lion's Arch, then log out once you get all cut, log back in, you'll likely be in overflow, so just keep repeating until satisfied - just keep relogging into overflow. Quite quick and easy that way, if a bit mind-numbing.
I did like some of the new PvP stuff they added, that was fun. I just wonder if the content will remain accessible after Halloween because I'm still enjoying the base game enough (level 33 now, had to take a break for a while). Honestly I am having more fun being OCD about filling out all the map area objectives than I am doing events and combat at this point, it's started to get more and more repetitive, however as a hiking simulator this game is actually fairly decent.

Fuck story mode. I'm raping PvE even when underleveled and undergeared, yet nothing stops my anus from being forcibly expanded in my "personal story" which apparently requires much more than one person to complete.

Yeah I had little issue in soloing as Guardian, but when my Engineer got into story mode, I cringed a bit when I dropped like the third time in a story quest and the NPC won't even revive me.

I only had problems on a couple of quests doing story mode as Engineer.
Just use granades, even on single target.

I felt they actually downtuned a bunch of stuff. Asura starter stories are WAY easier than Norn ones in any case.

I'm gonna roll a thief this week. Experience the stealth play in World VS a bit.
I'm mostly bored with the guardian play at the moment.

The lack of reward for World v World is disappointing - the costs for siege engines alone are quite high - and in no way you can sustain the costs if you don't PVE or buy gold. And A.net is prolly counting on Serious World PVP guilds to do the latter.

Guess what, fuckers? The joke's on you cause they'd rather buy farmer's gold than pay you.

Only storymode quest I recall having problems on was on my guardian actually. The sylvari racial quest where you have to find the Orrian scrying mirror in the skritt burrows. My condition damage/everything burns build had a hard time handling waves of destroyer crabs and trolls :P

Oh, and the lv 50ish one where you have to free krait prisoners for the pact, since I did that with a lv10 harpoon. :P

Spirit Weapons everything.
I don't know why but people laugh at me when I just range dps with Spirit Weapons spamming in dungeons.
Guardians are supposed to melee like real men.
My 50% crit / + 92% crit damage laughs at that statement.
Why bother going in there and play QTE dodge when you can sit back, Smite, spam spirit weapon?
