What areas are those? I've had very little trouble with that personally, except for the Norn spots with caves, now that was a painful experience indeed.
Yep, usually they are various caves, but I've even had this in a few of the more densely populated overland areas. Nowhere specific, but generally speaking it's not the starting areas (which are the most fun) but the level 20-30 regions I'm exploring now.

Of the early mid-game, I think I enjoyed going Kessex Hills -> Gendarran Fields -> going straight south of Lion's Arch afterwards, Bloodtide Coast -> Sparklefly Fen, with some stuff like instances and story and WvW to tie over the bit of space between Gendarran Fields and the Coast. Those seem to have a reasonable amount of mob population, and there's usually players around to do some of the larger events as well.

Ok, wtf is the deal with Arah Path 4
Spent 2 hours on the last boss, we're not wiping but due to shitty AI mechanics the boss would regen to full HP before we can burst it down.
We didn't even wipe a single time.
I think it's the first time I hit a brick wall in Dungeons.

Well, that is too much. It's the guy's fault for being on your way when you're running with a horde of undead on your tail.

So, I've finally gotten the game.
Playing on Seafarer's Rest.
Char-name: Caladan Zorn

Would be nice if somebody could invite me into the codex guild, though I won't get around to playing much in the near future and will be exploring in pve a bit before I get deeper into the game.

Level 12 atm. There's lots of stuff that I don't like. But so far the game's still fun and I guess I'll be plaing for a while.

Woe is you, I transferred out of the server and no longer represent the Codex guild.
There's a lack of activity of late in that guild - perhaps others may assist you better.

What class are you playing? Be sure to do the story mission for good chunk of EXP and gear when you're at the right level.

WTB more morale to Pact patrols in Orr. Or, less spawns of trash waves. Went taking over a temple, all was fine until suddenly the whole group save for one guy died. We still almost managed to do it with one, but I guess he stood in the poison or something. TEN METERS AWAY FROM VICTORY, dammit.

I just got my story to finale stage.
Gonna kill Zhaitan tomorrow with my grp.

We also cleared Crucible of Eternity All Paths today, and with that, our group leader got his Dungeon Master achievement.
Crucible of Eternity bosses can be summed up as 'Attack of the Red Circles' Sigil of Energy is HIGHLY Recommended for the encounters.
Oh, I hope you like fighting the Incredible Hulk 3 fucking times in all paths.

I need a good time waster and I've been interested by the idea of getting GW2 so far, but I've heard that it has some pretty hefty system requirements and that it would run badly on my Radeon 5770. Is that true ? I don't really feel like upgrading my computer just for a single game so it will either make or break my decision to get GW2.

It runs ok on HD 4850 (which AFAIK is weaker than HD 5770) in 1440 x 900 resolution. The real problem may be CPU if you want to play WvW - a strong i3 is an absolute minimum, and having a four-core (or in case of AMD - eight-core) CPU is recomended.

GW2 runs better on my WAY below-spec laptop than fucking "everyman MMO" WoW. It also runs WAY better on my desktop, too. Can't speak for proper stats, but 5770 should be quite good enough for it. They seem to have done some proper graphics optimizing in recent patches, too - I'm getting much higher frames than before.

GW2 is more reliant on CPU than GPU, though. What's yours?

I have a paltry AMD X4 630 (quad core, 2.80 ghz). I know it sucks, and my next computer is going to be intel all the way but I don't really feel like upgrading just yet, I mean, stuff like Skyrim runs perfectly ok on my computer, I won't speed my upgrade plans just for a MMO.

I can't upgrade the processor anyway, I don't think they sell anything that's compatible with my motherboard nowadays. Basically my next upgrade plans are : throw everything away and start anew.

It is amazing how completely unheroic you managed to dress up. I mean, you look more like the endboss than the endboss itself.

How was it?

:killit:

Terrible. :(
It was unchallenging and we didn't attack Zhaitan directly at all.
More like trash with sub bosses left and right. Followed with turret sequence against mini-dragons that pukes trash mobs to kill the turret men.

Zhaitan just ... looks angry and gets cannoned to death while periodically giving birth in mid fight.

I will marry the mesmer after this and settle down in Beetletun.

I gave up being heroic long ago and turned into a fairy from hell - swinging his tennis racquet at 1200 range , farming dungeons.
Hard truths: No matter how good you build your melee tank, there are just some things you cannot tank in this game.
