With every post, average Manatee further cements his reputation as a grade A retard. If the fact that there are two people here who can testify venomshare is effective isn't enough, go watch some tournament streams by thieves. Odds are you'll see venomshare ~75% of the time and s/p-sb sustain on the rest. Double dagger is for scrubs.

Face it Manatee. you're a horribad thief who relies on hiding among 20+ other people that do your work for you. In a 5v5 tournament there's no room for deadweight blossom/hs morons

I didn't say Death Blossom spam was a good build outside of lulzing WvW mobs, where did you get that idea? Honestly If you haven't seen 5+ idiots all with 10-15k bleed damage ticking down and with no condition removal, you haven't seen hilarious. In PvP when I'm thief most of the time I'm using Sword/Pistol or Sword/Dagger and Shortbow, no idea WTF sustain is because it's sure not a skill.

I'm mostly making fun of your ridiculous assertion that venom builds can offer any kind of DPS at all. It's a joke really. The only good thing is spamming immobilize/weakness decently. Which is good in party situations, but hardly great enough to make a build around. If you want to stand by such assertions as "melt enemies" or "short term dps through the roof", either provide some relevant DPS numbers and instructions on how to reach them or STFU.

God damn I hate Asura, why are they so OP?

And we're mmking fun at your rediculous assertion that you know jack shit about thieves in sPVP/tournament play. Because clearly you don't. It's a recurring theme with you, isn't it? You open your mouth and you get called out for being a retard, yet you never learn.

2 toons in full PvP armageddon gear says I got more tournament experience than you do. And I can tell you right here and now venomshare works, hs/crit doesn't. Most competent people will block/retaliate/outheal your burst and then you're useless. Venomshare gives better sustained DPS for point contesting.

How much? Give me a number man. Words are nice and shit, but you need math if you want to prove something. Surely you know how much DPS you can do, right? You aren't a noob I hope? Because you are displaying about as much competence as the average GW1 RA/ABer

Again, let me point out that your argument for Venom is that you can use it with multiple players. Multiple players = spike = who gives a shit about sustained?

And I can tell you right here and now venomshare works, hs/crit doesn't.

Assuming hs means heartseeker, let me again ask where you think I mentioned running such a build? Trying to put words into my mouth doesn't make your argument any stronger, you know.

Damn, I wouldn't be gloating about being in fag-wear, but suit yourself.

25 tournaments as venomshare thief. 10 gold chests, 12 silver chests, 1 bronze chest. There's your fucking math.

I'm pointing out I got the armor you get from winning multiple tournaments. which again stresses the point that I'm speaking from experience when I say venomshare is the way to go for tourney and you're speaking out of your ass.

I have nothing to add so I'll point out typos

This may surprise you, but the average GW1 player was pretty shitty. GW2 is comprised of the shittier GW1 players, augmented by shitty MMOtards. Good job though. If we want to start talking about silly accomplishments that don't prove skill, I held HoH my 2nd attempt in GW1. Clearly I was one of the best in the world back then.

I was going to post something witty but then decided it ain't worth it, maybe he'll figure out Venomshare like he figured out shortbow.

Anyhow, went on a PvP spree with VS build last night, although admittedly with the sub-optimal weapon layouts (was mostly for lulz), certainly a powerful build, especially once a Necro realized what I was running and ran close to me for a couple of matches when we'd end up on same team. Had a whole pile of fun there. Good mesmers are fucking annoying, gotta say that.

Also, Ulminati, what runes do you use for your weapons?

I haven't played much, i'm just lvl 13, but so far I've seen - this is clearly the best MMO ever (well, maybe along with H&H before they changed experience system to shit) and probably the second one which won't bore me within one month (H&H is the only MMO which I played for years, so far the only one which I played over 2 months).

I just love that I just gained today one and a half level solely on exploration, without doing quests or killing mobs.

Bros lemme tell you bout how I faceraped a silly venom thief who tried to come after my ele multiple times. You ready? I pressed 'E'***. All his venom vanished and he had nothing effective to use against me for 30s. Not that he lived that long.

* I know E isn't the default dodge key but it should have been.

**Once in a while I had to use a different prot because dodge wasn't available, but I didn't want to make this lesson too complex.

Just realized they have patch notes.

From last week: "Bonus thresholds reduced by half to prepare for one-week matches."

Looks like they're almost ready for 1 week long WvW matches.

Having a longer persistent map might be more interesting than it is now.

Yesterday: "Rocket Boots: This skill is no longer usable underwater. This is a temporary change until we can figure out why players can launch themselves into the sky using this skill."

He finally figured out shortbow? Wasn't he all "WAAAAH shortbow has no evasion!"? I guess retards DO learn if you punch them long and hard enough. Shortbow is pretty much mandatory on Kyhlo. Infiltrators arrow allows for some wicked shortcuts to catch the enemy treb by surprise and get to cocktower.

Also, Ulminati, what runes do you use for your weapons?

On VS? 4x Runes of the afflicted, 2x runes of the krait. I've been running pistol/dagger lately so the extra bleed duration is nice. For sword/pistol I'd run 6x runes of the afflicted. For sigils I usually mess about either with leeching or doom. I haven't quite decided what I like best. My bunker guardian is all energy since selfless daring turns dodges into AoE heals that scale 1:1 with healing power.

I see you haven't stopped :retarded:. Again, your pathetic attempts to put words into my mouth are tiring.

Shortbow is shit for (non-dungeon) PvE because crappy damage and crappy evasion. You take 3-4x as long to kill things with one. Where did I comment on it at all for PvP? Right, in that imaginary fantasy of yours where you are an intelligent player. Apparently you haven't progressed to the point of understanding that different environments are suited for different equipment or abilities.

Also, they should really get a system to announce stuff through their website/launcher, and not through Twitter, Facebook and Reddit. For fuck's sake.

Yea, in many ways the game is a lot less informative (about what happens in it, in its website, and about maintenance) than STO for example (where the patch notes can be checked at the website with a single click, maintenance is announced on website and launcher, and server status is shown on website and launcher). One thing that really bothers me is that there doesn't appear to be a way to add username to come after the character in chat.

Another example of bad information is the lack of differentiation between Heal Over Time and single Heals. This is especially bad because it means some abilities are a lot less useful than they seemed. Another good example of wattheshit level of vagueness in ability descriptions is Renewed Focus, which is a Guardian elite skill where the description gives you the impression that it gives you temporary invulnerability and recharges your Virtues... When in actuality you are only invulnerable while you charge the skill (can't do anything else during this time), after which you are just like before but your Virtues have been recharges. In short, turns out it's an utter shit skill without any use, since only one of the Virtues is ever worth activating, and even then it's a stretch as it's just an Aegis (the other two just have shit actives, with Justice providing a weak Burning attack when it passively provides a Burn condition on every fifth attack, and Resolve provides valuable passive regeneration or a shit-heal). In general, it seems Elite skills are just plain shit compared to regular skills. The only half-usable one I've tried out so far is Tome of Wrath, and that's only because it's 20 seconds of Retaliation. Bear form is like my regular greatsword wth slightly better attack and lots of health, but none of the heals (which means it's fairly useless due to how fucktardedly high damage usually is, and no genius thought about putting in inherent damage mitigation on such a transformation).

Anyway, I'm currently running a Norn shoutmonkey and reached level 35 (and on my way to Hoelbrak the server connection was fucked). Seems to me that Shouts are practically mandatory for Guardian tanking (seeing how Shield of the Avenger only affects projectiles and Sanctuary's cd is too long to be useful) due to having a ridiculously powerful array of effects, shortest cooldowns and healing effects. I'm currently running Save Yourselves, Hold the Line and Stand Your Ground (turns out it's great for PvE as well, seeing how dangerous knockdowns and stuns can be, and how powerful Retaliation is) with Signet of Resolve (seeing how Shelter is far too weak to be useful and Healing Breeze is weaker than Signet even without Signet's passive bonus) and Tome of Wrath (Bear Form and Renewed Focus tried out), with Greatsword as main weapon and Mace/Shield secondary. Currently have three traits put to 10 for 10% extra damage against Burning enemies (Zeal), 20% faster Shout recharge (Honor) and 5 in Virtue for passive boon boost. Will aim towards trying out how Zealous Blade fares (Zeal Grandmaster trait, makes each Greatsword attack self-heal) + Greatsword Power for +5% damage with it. Otherwise my plan is to raise Valor to 10 for 5% of Toughness added to Precision, Virtue to 10 for 25% extra Retaliation time, and raising Honor to 20 (trait effect would be 20% faster two-handed skill recharge, or the additional Heal effect to Symbols).

You can check the build here: http://www.gw2builds.org/view/78400....2-3.8.10.12.3-30.0.10.20.10-3.5.12.10.7.8.12

Signet of Judgment is there as a placeholder for Save Yourselves.
