I just had a shit ton of fun creating my party. I literally know nothing about the game and am a total newb at D&D, so I picked which stats I felt would work for each of my characters. Hopefully it works out :bounce:

Melissan's pretty boring and she completely fails as a Secret Villain. But Belhifet is unbelievably forgettable.

No. he's very memorable. Belhifet is a cool dude with attitude.

Melissan is just plain shit. She just isn't tied for BIO's top 2 worst main villains (tied with SOU's medusa) but Melissan is one of the worst villains in any game ever.

Codex Year of the Donut Serpent in the Staglands Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Torment: Tides of Numenera Wasteland 2 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Belhifet may have been forgettable, but Revered Brother Poquelin was pretty cool.

Poquelin was meh ''I'm a demon from lower planes in priest robes,Ii have grand schemes butIi want to destroy ten-towns first for teh lulz.''. I liked Icasaracht from HoW much better, who had actual reasons.

Melissan was pretty boring it's true... they should have bought Irenicus back, as evil tree demon Irenicus... Or better yet in an unseen twist, had Seravock leave your party suddenly and turn out to be the main villain all along MWAHAHAhahahaha

I think overall the problem with ToB, was how they tried to make the story some sort of epic battle for the fate of the world. But in reality neither the engine nor the previous aspects of the story could really handle that shift. So ToB just ended up being a mess of bosses who all tried to be the biggest and baddest. I think a more subtle power play between the villains would have made for a far more satisfying game.

As for IWD, I think it is more mature in terms of story (not sure if that's really the right word for the situation). It's more grounded, less end of the world type of nonsense. To me it always captured the real D&D feel of "adventurers". In saying that though, I think the developers overdid it with the combat a little bit, I never did finish the game simply because endlessly killing things in the infinity engine gets tiresome. Maybe with that NPC mod the game gets more bearable pacing....

I'm getting some minor screen tearing when scrolling through the terrain, nothing too bad but does anyone know a fix for something like that?

Search that question on google... the screen tearing and other bugs occur mostly on the GoG version of the game... you need to manually create patch which forces the game to use direct draw.

I ended up fixing all of the problems by doing just that as well as forcing vsync with an application profile. Also increased fps to 40, and the games seems to run incredibly smooth now, including the curser at the menus.

And the game is freakin fun.

I've created the best party ever.

I spent forever (twice) rerolling to get 18/00s and then I remembered I could have just used an editor to get them. Oh well, time to kill all men.

Bah I was reminded by how terrible all the default portraits are! I like my tiny little non interactive pictures to look awesome, or else I can't focus on the game.
:0/5:

IWD portraits are awesome. Of D&D games, only Eye of the Beholder arguably has better portraits.
