OK, some more plot analysis.

They should have probably broken up the weapon into three parts: the catalyst, the Citadel, and the Crucible. The use of the ghost child was awkward, as well as the implication that the VI held information about the catalyst (when it turns out that the only info needed was to know that the Citadel was the catalyst).

I can't remember, but I think the Reapers found out about the Citadel as the catalyst from Cerberus. In which case, they could have just destroyed the Citadel and killed the Illusive Man. With that, Cerberus would have logically joined the Alliance.

Some threads in other forums argue that the ending fulfills the goals of Cerberus, which certainly doesn't make sense if Shepard is supposed to be the protagonist.

In that case, Cerberus should have played as a potential war resource for the Alliance, with the ending simply a battle between the Alliance and the Reapers.

I can't remember what happened to the Reapers after defeating the Protheans. Perhaps there were no more intelligent life forms to wipe out (implied by Javik concerning the various members of the Alliance) and thus waited for another round of chaos to erupt coupled with technology to make that chaos worse (e.g., the mass relays). But if one of the Reapers who spoke is to be followed, then the goal would have been to assimilate all organics. In which case, none of the races would have evolved to the point of creating more chaos. The goal may also be seen as similar to that of the Cerberus and of the ending of the game.

So, I was just thinking about Mass Effect 2 and how nothing that happens in that game is relevant to the plot of Mass Effect 3. I mean, what the fuck. The most important event I can tell story-wise that happened in ME2 was the introduction of EDI (because she was necessary for breaking in the Cerberus base), and even that was barely important at all. There's hardly any mention of the collector base, no mention at all of the human reaper and why they were making it, no mention of the collectors, and all the foreshadowing about dark energy is abandoned. I mean, if the Crucible plans were found in the collector base then maybe we'd have something.

So in other words, the games could go from ME1 to ME3 without changing that much and nothing would really be lost besides some side characters. Just introduce EDI at the Mars archive and you have everything you need from ME2. You could even have Shepard start on Earth stripped of duty for defying orders and stealing the Normandy at the end of ME1.

What the fuck. I mean, I didn't really expect ME3 to make sense after ME2, but come on. I at least expected Bioware to acknowledge the plot of the previous game.

Then again, I guess they completely changed the reapers from ME1, so the moral here is that Bioware's writers are too dumb to remember the major plot points of a game they made two years ago.

So you post NSFW crap because you don't read codex at work for fear of running into NSFW crap?

Yes, because even if I stopped posting NSFW stuff, somebody else still posts it. I could make an analogy with the west's attempt to save the world from CO2, while most rivers in China are toxic, but I think you get my point. (Since my post is somewhat passive-aggressive, and I hate passive-aggressive posts, I must add "YOU ASSHOLE!")
So, if somebody is going to make an ass of themselves anyway, why leave them to have all the glory of doing that? That's some Mensa-grade logic right there!

Also, if you can't distinguish between some cosplayers in skimpy attire and pornography, then you posting NFSW pictures in a non-NFSW thread is the least of your worries. At this juncture, there's only one thing to add: Feb 27, 2012.

Who the fuck reads PRG Codex at work?
Most people here, probably. It's great when waiting for my videos to render.

Now, who the fuck arrives at home from work, boot the PC and keeps reading teh Codex for hours instead of actually playing a game, reading a book, watching a movie, dating, going out, etc, is a much more valid question...

lol, latest NVidia driver installer is one long ad for ME3. Desperate much, EA?

It is. And it caused my video card to malfunction several times. Instead of going with the logical idea that the driver simply had problems, I'll instead believe it's ME3 trying to kill my computer.

The Reapers have indoctrinated your video card.

Holy shit, Menck, you just opened my eyes.

Bros, I have seen the true meaning of Mass Effect 3's ending.

It's Azerbaijan.

See? Colours like in the ending options, explosion like in the video and the moon is also visible.

Finally.

I picked Purple and got the Rollback ending. My driver is now back to the way it was before and thanks to the magical purple beam, so is everyone else's.

Relays are still destroyed and Normandy still crash lands.

I just finished ME3 and i have to say i don't get why Normandy crash-landing and relays being destroyed became such an issue. Come on, people, it takes one line of techno-bable to rebuild the relays, Earth is littered with Reaper remains to be reverse-engineered, ffs.

But on the matter of Catalyst i agree with the majority, my reaction was:

:what:

:retarded:

:rage:

Fuck you, Bioware, fuck you.

Doesn't matter much when destroying the mass relays destroy all life in the system (you know, the reason shepard was in trouble at the beginning of ME3).

Eh, once again, this is the problem that can be solved by one line of techno-bable.

Remember when a relay survived a supernova? You know, the most destructive event in the known universe? And then one got taken out by being hit with an asteroid.

I'm confused.
