It is strange indeed. You visit any other industries, and women there try to dress pretty, try to look good. Not because of other people, but for themselves. Here, yeah, I just dress up in some ugly shirt, a Metallice T-shirt and also put on some leather gloves. Because this is how much I don't give a fuck about how I look.

It seems like in any other professional industry women try to excel and go against negative stereotypes. Meanwhile in the game industry they embrace every single negative stereotype and amp it up. It's like they don't want to be taken seriously and want to be perpetual victims...
Something like that. They look like those stereotypical nerd chicks in movies, who dress terribly, have bad hair and don't shave their armpits.

They dress unstylish so that Josh doesn't hit on them.

It seems that you can deliver the scientist in the trailer to the corporations right at the start for bounty and they reward you with a house in rich part of the town.

This gives me hope for a game we can finally play where being "the bad guy" isn't being a school bully for chump change while being the good guy also is optimal metagame solution for maximum material and experience rewards.

Yay, it's been what, 6 months since Codex nerds/virgins were talking about Obsidian women for the last time. You guys still haven't gotten laid or why else would you obsess over how someone making a damn video game looks like. They are not making porn for you.

If I could, I'd rate this post "Funny".

Yet in the six months, they still haven't learned to how groom themselves. This goes for both male and female at Obsidian, they all should learn how to groom. I am quite aware that the picture contains many people who should be cleaning their dicks more often.

Roguey I know you hates KIS, but you loved the writing in Tyranny—Bleden Mark was your main quest-giver—do you really think he was poorly written? De gustibus non est disputandum, but even if you dislike the character as Fairfax does I would say it’s more a matter of taste. You may think the character is poorly conceived; that’s not the same as poorly executed.

Bleden Mark was more "*teleports behind you* Psh, nothing personal kid" than Kills-in-Shadow. Don't really have any positive or negative feelings about him.

Additionally, the writing sample of hers I posted wasn't something I cherry-picked, she did. She's proud of it, considers it some of her best work.

Flou has Leonard Boyarsky tagged as Lead Writer as one of his jobs so hopefully that will help offsets things.

In one of the recent interviews he says he does very little hands-on stuff. He's the rubberstamp guy mostly.

Upstart writers' first and biggest sin is to overexplain and overdescribe.

Good thing I avoided this problem entirely by underexplaining and underdescribing.

It is not just the game industry. It is software development in general. Since back when i was in the university, the few female computer science students were either ugly, or pretty and totally useless as programmers. The very pretty ones exchanged sex for "helping" them with the courses... Then went on to pretend to work in the software industry only for enough time to find a good manager in the company to get pregnant and become stay-at-home-mothers for life. The ugly ones decided to revolt and become lesbians since no man wanted them anyway and those are the ones with the fluorescent hair and bad styles...

tyranny is the best obsidian game since new vegas, tho

and only sawyer fans disagree

More enjoyable narrative fo-sho but PoE, especially Deadfire has way better combat. Tho the narrative of Tyranny was only good in its first act & ending, the other acts were repetitive as fuck. I'd still prefer PoE's setting over Tyranny's "one mood" setting but then again FUCK FANTASY.

How can a game that ends abruptly when you don't expect it at all be repetitive? Nothing repetitive about Tyranny except combat.

In your dreams. They exchanged being civil and at most some light flirting for the help of a horde of desperate code monkeys.

Why would any sane person have sex with those "prime specimens" when a smile gives you more than what you need.

You basically do the same things over and over again in different acts after the first, I don't remember it that well but I can dig up what I said about it from somewhere. And contrary to popular opinion that the game ended abruptly; I fully expected the game to end where it ended, anyone who thought they'd go to war with Kyros, right there, must have fabulously optimistic personalities.

The problem is it's all media now tv,film, music, books etc..The level of writing is fucking awful some tv shows blow my mind with their bottom tier sub-human shit.
Characters have no consistency and do the most stupid things imaginable, have no charm,no proper motivations the script will be full of plot holes that's a guarantee. The dialogue as always will be aimed at 3 year olds with learning difficulties and couple this with the modern retarded "right side of history" politics everything becomes unwatchable/unplayable.
The younger the writer the worse it gets, they have no life experience, limited education and a single mindset of creating a communist utopia.

The issue is not that modern writers "suck". Modern writers are equally good to past writers. The issue is something else that most of you never considered either because you are young or because you don't really follow societal trends really well... Or both.

What is the problem in a nutshell? People don't have much leisure time anymore, and their attention spans are shortened on average. Western civilization is AGEING. People have no patience for shit, they want/need instant gratification. Capitalism has made life harder for everyone but the rich 1% who never lift a finger in their lives. In the past you might have spent 2-3 hours watching a show or playing a video game, today you spent half...

So any writer needing to be successful, must get his priority straight: Blow people's minds as often as possible with as cheaper gimmicks as possible! Writers care about excitement, not about quality. They want to make sure that for the little time you are going to spend with their shit you are going to get as much excitement explosions as possible, and be happy...

Of course nerds complain about it because they spend more time on entertainment than the average person and thus get annoyed a lot more about the drop in quality.

No this isn't true at all
The bad writers are destroying media anyone who writes as I've indicated above are not successful that's the point
Yes their are good writers but they are fewer in circulation however when given a chance they are the ones with the successful project that garners respect.
As to less time to watch you are joking people don't know what to do with themselves half the time.
Capitalism has made things easier for people not harder that's why Western Civilisation has so much time to fuck about with retards who are more interested in self identifying as a fucking chicken or pan-sexual chipmunk.

Codexers are so desperate that they find Tyranny or PoE setting to be intriguing. Currentyear.jpeg.

What does Tyranny setting have anything to do with PoE setting? They aren't even in the same league.

They are both in the league of Yawnevergetanotherarcanum.

Ridiculous, that's like asking for something like Planescape Torment to be replicated. It's not gonna happen anytime soon, if ever.
