Years of monochrome CoD and Battlefield have ruined the aesthetic. Things go in cycles. It'll be back.

Horizon: Zero Dawn written by John Gonzalez, formally of obsidian, sold 7.6 million on the ps4 in a year, probably has reached 10 million or more by now. You can finish it in around 20 hours.

Thats the market Obsidian is after, and you can expect their next rpg's on the xbox will be even more streamlined and focused on presentation than complex game systems.

So about as long as Fallout.

I prefer longer games with tons of exploration and lots of side content, but this doesn't turn me off. New IP; I'm unsurprised. What does turn me off is the infestation of plethora talentless SJW Deadfire writing staff, the absolute shit they're passing off as combat, ripped-off Borderlands assets, and the trite 2010 leddit humor that appears to permeate every orifice of the game world and its NPCs.

I cannot believe there is enough hype around this game for a news site to actually monopolise its news successfully. Obshitian will never live up to this hype.

They capitalised on the outrage directed towards Bethesda but can they handle it? They might have bit off more than they can chew.

It's not like Bethesda set a quality bar with Fallout 4 and Fallout 76.

Cainarsky will only need to produce a decent RPG and that hype train will help them to get higher scores and better sales.

I didn't find it cringy. I thought Cain and Boyarsky were funny in it and I think that's the whole point of the video to show them without the PR guys feeding them every answer.
