No, TakeTwo gets a percentage per download like everyone else on the service. I mean, Microsoft probably did pay them a little to get in on the service early in the first place, but they also get the same *cut*. Take2 would be insane otherwise.

Microsoft is interested in generated subs/keeping players paying for their service.

No way the game costed 25 million with all the limited budget talk of Leonard and Tim. Its probably more than Greedfall's but not by much.

First off 25 Million is a rather low budget in todays market.

Secondly, no it doesn't. It has to generate decent subs, but thats about it. The budget in this case doesn't matter as Microsoft didn't finance the game, TakeTwo did. Microsoft couldn't care less about its exact sales numbers (as long as they're decent) or how many times it made its budget back.

In fact a download/sub on GamePass is much more interesting for Microsoft than thousands of full price copies sold.
