M&B Warband is motherfucking good. I liked M&B and I love Warband, especially multiplayer is fresh and great. It's probably gonna be my favourite MP game #2 after Red Orchestra.

Might wanna check out the multiplayer mod CRPG. Apparently adds some leveling and persistence to the multiplayer. Plus there's apparently a mod of the mod that adds conquering Calradia, and you can be a mercenary in another player's army and shit. Sounds kinda cool.

I caved and bought MI2 remake for $2.50. After watching some gameplay of the first I was reminded how much I loathed the character art (especially Guybrush) and figure I wasn't really keen on picking it up. Worst case scenario I overpaid a dollar for it -- not like it's going to go lower than $1.25. But, who knows, maybe there will be some $5 package with both remakes and Tales -- though I doubt it since they are technically different publishers.

The MI2 remake is excellent. The new art style is very good, unlike in the first remake.

Also, I bought the Indie Air pack. Anyone else? Been messing around with Gratuitous Space Battles. It's a good fun, especially for faggots who like to play with spread sheets and min/max everything. Basically the point is that you design your own ships, then you deploy them and give them some simple tactics and watch as they triumph / fail over the enemy.
There's an online section where you can look up challenges people have posted and try to overcome them, but I haven't tried them yet. I've just managed to beat my friends challenge and I sent one right back at him. We'll see how that nigger likes long range missiles up his ass. :M

Haven't tried the other games yet. Altitude reminds me of Triplane Turmoil which was the shit back in the day. Can't wait to try that out once I wake up.

The indie packs were amazing value packs, I must say. Wouldn't have played any of the games otherwise, but I'm glad now that I have.

Just.. If you have epilepsy, stay the FUCK away from the game. There are colors exploding everywhere all the time.
Which gets even more intense as you turn the difficulty up which is awesome.

The colours children,THE COLOURS!!!

I really like Beat Hazard, I played it for 2 hours today and lost track of time. I put on Infected Mushrooms Viscous Delicious <insert anti semitic rant/joke/gag here> and played it, Have 5 hours clocked so far, and am at Elite level 12. Unlocking suicidal was fun, 100% and some goa trance and the mind tends to bleed out the brains. I think I now see the appeal of Console games, pretty shiny lights.

Yeah, Beat Hazard's a really fun toy. It isn't as "Competitive" as playing against your friends in Audiosurf, and it doesn't base the gameplay as directly on the music as Audiosurf (Your gun pewpewing is the biggest part, enemy ship patterns don't get messed with much) but it is enjoyable.

Edit: what's your steam name by the way? Gragt is mine.

To bridge the gap between the big sales Steam has pulled off a rather clever promotion. Every two days they have a set of four 'objectives' you have to complete. Each completed objective gives you a chance to win the grand prize of a hundred (100!) Steam games to three people. Additionally they'll be giving away five games every two days.

First set of objectives:

Self Portrait: Setup an avatar on your Steam Community profile.
Got Tanked?: Earn the Desert Fox Steam Achievement in R.U.S.E.
Up the Ante: Win The Iron Curtain in Poker Night at the Inventory
More Cowbell: Set a leaderbord score of at least 1,124,400 in easy mode for the 'Paul Hartnoll' level in Chime

Poker Night is on sale for $3 and Chime is on sale for $1.25. Ruse is still like $30, so meh.

Yeah. I would've been all over getting achievements for TF2 hats except I don't really wanna spend $30 on Ruse. Even though I've heard some good things, I'm just not in the market for an RTS game bad enough to spend $30 on it.

Did pick up Chime though since it was a buck and I was vaguely interested in it anyway. It's kinda neat. Not really a fan of the level/song they've got for the objective (Warbling women voice gets on my nerves) but it is kinda neat. Especially for a dollar.
Already had portrait and Poker Night, so I'm at 3 objectives completed. Here I come, TF2 hat #1 and hopefully #2!

Only downside I could see of this sale is that the games that go on sale basically have to have Steam achievements/leaderboards, since they're tied in to the objective hunting.

Still, tons of games have achievements. Even Monkey Island 2!

Objectives for Dec 8th to the 9th are:

*Have 10 friends on your friends list

*Complete Ol' Buddy Ol' Pal achievement in Fallout: New Vegas

*Set a leaderbord score of at least 22,600 on the level 'Mash Face Against Mountain' in AaAaAA!!!

* Play the demo or game The UnderGarden

Two are easy enough. Been waiting for a sale on AAAAA so 3/4 for me today. I actually passed on Chime yesterday -- skinflint that I am -- because it didn't look like I'd play it for more than a couple of hours.

Got 1/4 yesterday (avatar) and 3/4 today (friends, FNV and UG).

I doubt I'll win though :p

Damnation. Yet another reason for me to curse the heavens for asking for FNV for Christmas instead of just buying it for myself.

Did pick up AAAAAAA today though since that was another one I was kinda interested in. And I'll run the demo of the other one for the objective since what the hell.

The ten entries for the big contest will be easy enough. Whether or not there are enough deals I like to get the 15 objective hat is another story... not that I'd be heartbroken to miss out on it. Undergarden isn't bad -- another physics puzzle game but the controls felt really awkward.

Not part of the Steam sale (Yet, at least) but Killing Floor's adding a pretty awesome hat to TF2, and Pyro is gonna be a playable character in KF. Pretty fun zombie killing game and TF2 goodies are always welcome. Pyro mask with tie will make me feel slightly less sad about getting rid of my whiskered gentleman.

Got KF a while ago for $5 but haven't played it a lot -- looks like it is time to reinstall.

My guess is there might be a pack with Penumbra during the Holiday sale. My general rule with Steam is that unless a game starts at $10 or less list price, 50% off usually won't sway me.
