There ought to be more grimdark dungeon crawlers, the format is perfect for dark themes, gore and all that fun stuff. In most cases they're for weeaboos or just generic and bland fantasy.

Also this one caught my eye in particular. Never touched either of 'em but I've heard nothing but praise and adulation with a hint of regret for what-could-have-been with 2. What's the Codexian Consensus?

Best modern shooter, lightning-fast movement with wallrunning and the best grapplehook implementation in gaming history (with enough practice you can achieve such speeds THE FUCKING HIT REGISTRATION STOPS WORKING ON YOU BECAUSE OF HOW FAST YOU GO. YOU CAN BUNNY HOP SO FAST YOU LITERALLY BECOME INVULNERABLE). The player numbers are very low sadly, but it also has a short but incredibly good SP campaign that's alone worth the price.

But the steam version still requires you to install origin so it's easier just to get it there, especially considering it goes cheaper on origin

I bought it in the last sale and stopped halfway through. It doesn't do anything novel really, it's an adequate Metroidvania. Right after it I started with Supraland and found it to have more meat despite some jank.

I have no idea what to think about this game. I played the demo and didn't understand anything about the story. It's like Hyper Light Drifter on some really heavy drugs. It also has only 54 reviews.


But man, this has some amazing music. The best shit I heard in a game for a while. Voted for this in the category. Wasn't able to find combat music on Youtube though.

Since i finished Bound by Flame by Spiders recently, i decided to buy their earlier Faery - Legends of Avalon that i do not see coming on GOG any time soon (fortunately it was easy to remove Steam's DRM):


Tags include "turn-based" which was a bit unexpected.

Also one of the reviews says that it has no voice acting while the download seems to be just ~725MB. I guess this is their lowest budget game yet (that i've played) so there is Maximum Jank ahead.

Well, whenever i decide to play it that is. For now it goes on the pile.
