The two SCUMM Indiana Jones adventure games are 50% off on Steam.

I really recommend everyone buy Fate of Atlantis if they haven't already done so. It is one of my favourite adventure games and features - gasp! - multiple paths!

Last crusade is so-so but FoA is right up there with Monkey Island 2, day of the tentacle and grim fandango on the awesome scale. I reccomend you play it with next-gen CD-ROM voices off though since the VA for indy is kinda pants.

There are indeed multiple paths. You choose fairly early in the game (after recovering a certain journal) and are locked in from that point. The three paths are different enough to warrant multiple playthroughs. Remember to save before picking one. I reccomend going with TEAM first, followed by WITS, then FIGHT. Team is the easiest of the three with a little extra "WTF is going on" being illuminated by Sophia. Wits is the most monocle path. Fight has some kinda meh action scenes (although killing the opera nazi was really satisfying).

The endings are pretty cool too - and risky, considering Indy gets killed in a couple of them, which I can't imagine Lucas signing off on.

I think Last Crusades main flaw was that there was already a movie made of it which was 1) Better paced and writte and 2) spoiled a lot of the puzzles in the game. :P

Fate of Atalantis is a new indy adventure which gave LA a lot more freedom to craft a narrative that worked for a videogame. I'm not saying that people shouldn't get LC at all (although it's one of my least-favourite lucasarts adventures). Just that FoA is far, far better.

I do agree. And yeah, being based on the actual movie definitely limited what they could do in LC.

Just another bland indie physics puzzle platformer

I'm so tired of this genre.

I don't know why so many indie devs keep going to this well. I guess because it's easy to make them and the unwashed masses will ooo and aaaah over them like they did LIMBO? It's not a bad game but it's basically just a slowed down version of Super Mario Brothers.

And yet another indie game that has so many problems on release that it's basically dead already. Judging by the description, Fray sounded similar to Syndicate, except with multiplayer focus. Looking at the forums it seems that the servers are absolute shit, people are having connection problems, no AI bots and co-op is actually 2v2 PvP which isn't fucking co-op. Too bad since it had all the good buzzwords too: turn-based, strategy, multiplayer and dystopian future with mega-corporations.

Picked up Jurassic Park THE VIDEOGAME since it could be had for $6.50, and I figured what the hell I haven't disliked a Telltale game yet, may as well try their supposed worst one. It is QTE madness, way overboard compared to Walking Dead. Still, after fucking with it a little bit I'm not so offended I won't keep playing. Should be alright for a run through but I can certainly see why people said to avoid it at a higher price.

Also partially picked it up due to selling shit in D3. Those two items covered the cost of this and Warlock when it goes on sale for $7.50 in July.

73% played, 27% never played. The never played list is actually much smaller than that. For some reason many of the games I own have gone to 0 hrs. played.

That's pretty inaccurate, lists at 0 played games that I finished, lists in the 0s also DLCs that I played.

Yeah, it counts DLCs and things like all versions of Civ4 (including the mac ones which I have no idea why they even appear in the game library).

:yeah:
Though as mentioned it's not particularly accurate. Plus I've got games I played before Steam kept track (Which was only a year or two ago) forever. Like HL2EP2.

Finally, won't miss out on this one - the other DX sales were like just for 1 day or so; Also - do NOT buy the DX pack, you have only 1.16 euro compared to buying the individual games/dlc , but who wants invisible war anyway, that one is 2.49 so buying everything separately excluding DX:IW is the best option, Steamtards !

Most of those not played are games from indie bundles

New steam games released. The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav, an adventure game based on the Dark Eye setting. 36 euros seems a bit steep for an adventure game these days but oh my god does the game look good visually. Made by the same people who made The Whispered World. Not surprising since I was instantly reminded of that game as soon as I looked at the first screenshot. This is definitely the #1 game I'll be waiting to get from the steam summer sales.

Bought Deus Ex. Gonna see whats the fuss is all about.

'sup Drog. Anyway, was looking at Be-j00-eld 3 in the upcoming sale but now it's 80% off at $4. Honestly it's overpriced at $20 retail but I'm wondering if $4 is the lowest it'll go for a while or if they'll eventually just lower the retail price.

Buddy gave me a free copy of Spore (On Origin, shudder) so that should sate that unnatural desire. Now I'm eyeballing the Civ5 expansion since it can be had for $15 at CDkeyshere, and eyeballing Quantum Conundrum since it's 25% off at the moment at Greenman Gaming and I've got $8 in trade in money there, bringing the game with "Season pass" DLC to $7.

Mildly tempted to dump $4 for the Avernum trilogy, too. Even as annoying as Avadon was I'm both a Steam and RPG packrat so that's two of my weaknesses in one. Comes out roughly 60% off from Steam price which isn't bad.

And SWEET CUPPIN' CAKES that Dark Eye adventure game is pretty. I'll definitely wait for inevitable Steam sale, but holy hell. Know nothing about the game but the pictures give me an erection.
