I just glad my first time was with you and not some other uncaring jerk

If I get banned I hope someone else will take up the task of posting the occasional Gabe Newell visual tribute in this thread

And daily deal, Avernum Escape from the Pit for $3.30 don't mind if I do don't mind if I do!

Oh shit. Sounds like Max Payne 3 is going to be 50% off on Amazon, possibly on Sunday, and they're going to have a Steam-key version.

Think I might buy it since the gunplay looks fun from what I've seen, Codex opinion from people who played it seemed mostly positive, and a family member who was a big fan of MP 1 and 2 told me he absolutely loved 3. That, and apparently the PC version is actually well optimized and has good performance despite being a massive 30 gig pig.
Max, dearest of all my friends :bounce:

Not interested in Max Payne: BR edition ... seen a walkthrough and I found the plot fucking stupid, not to say its another typical Rockstar game.

If it wasn't on Steam you wouldn't buy it, would you?
Of course I wouldn't! I have standards.

I was hoping for it to go 50% off or more during the Steam sale though, so this works out for me. $30 is more than I originally thought I was going to buy it for, but I've heard more good things about it and I was assuming it was going to have assy performance like GTA4 and LA Noire so I'll go for a bit higher price.

LA Noire is absolute shit. Glad I tried it before I bought it. Every case is the same shit. I can only repeat chore activities so often. If you want me to repeat something, then give me a fluid sports game.

Which brings me to another point, why the fuck do games have such terrible controls these days? It's more immersion breaking than anything I can think of.

Some rumblings on CAG pointing toward Steam summer sale starting tomorrow and not the rumored July 12th. TF2 apparently (Actually have it uninstalled now after cashing my hats out) just updated and added summer keys which expire on July 11th, and two summer bundle packs have been added to the registry.

Steam Sale 2012 packs are being added to the registry just now!

Stardock Collection Pack - Summer 2012

1C Collection Pack - Summer 2012 LV

FINGERS CROSSED BROS. I might, maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaybe be interested in that Stardock pack, but they've been pretty terrible about running good deals on Steam so we shall see. It'll probably be something stupid like $40, essentially making it "Buy Rebellion and get Demigod and galciv2 free". At $20 I'd at least think about it though there'd still be room for me to talk myself out of it because fuck Stardock and their games.

It was the same in GTA IV. I think it comes down to their physics engine being tied into character animation so strongly - there's so much momentum that you end up stumbling around like some sort of drunk moron all the time. I ran into walls and other people in GTA IV more than I did any other game ever because of how stupidly imprecise it is. It's the most laughably impotent attempt to make the game more "realistic" ever - hurr durr, people have trouble walking in a straight line, right?

July 12th, that indie developer clearly let it slip. The fact that the TF2 promotion ends on the 11th is yet another dead giveaway. That and no new games are being released from July 4th to July 24th.

It seems Amazon gave me a bunch of new Steam keys for Victoria II and Sword of Stars for some reason. Since I've got them both already, I'll share here with codex bros.

Vicky 2: E4L0X-T2EJH-2E94M, FBZ3C-47YHK-BA7PY, FWWDN-9W8VB-5T4ME
Sword of Stars: F5XQE-EZ4ID-5DY0Y, FQ5TY-J4AC3-JZ09E

Weird though, the activation shows up as 'Victoria II comp'
