Your biggest concern with buying any game is that you have a hundred you have yet to install and play! But yeah, X3 is the deeper game and allows you to command space stations, fleets, etc. EM is just you upgrading your individual ship, running missions, interacting with factions, etc. Were I not already teetering around my budget for the sale I'd probably grab it but, since I am, it can wait and maybe it'll show up in an indie bundle.

Have you played it Metro? If so how does it compare to Freelancer mapping/ease of flight? It is easy to and hard to master, or the other way round in difficulty? I am looking for the former.

I've only played the demo for about an hour so I can't really make a great comparison. Off the top of my head I would say it is arguably harder to master. But, since the sale is up until tomorrow night you could try it yourself: I believe you can download it somewhere on that Starwraith page.... probably here: http://www.starwraith.com/evochronmercenary/downloads.htm

No idea. I'm too busy playing farting simulators and popamole FPS to be playing such a fine monocled free roaming space adventure.

Edit: And the C&C franchise bundle just arrived in a flash sale. Since that was a new bundle just for the summer sale I was thinking it was going to be a ridiculous deal like $10 for everything, but no. It's actually a few cents more to buy the bundle than all the games individually.

ELECTRONIC ARTS.

Buying games individually costs 11.5 bucks here
Buying them as a bundle costs 27.5 bucks

ELECTRONIC ARTS.

Also please vote for KotOR.

Action RPG it is, but with some nice difficulty. They can be really punishing to the player.

Voted Ys even though I skipped it the first time around. Might pick it up if it shows up again, despite the anime. Saw a boss battle that looked decently action-y and I doubt these will hit an indie bundle.

Voted for Origin. Hope it wins so I can add it to my Ys collection. It's a great series, especially the "newer" ones; tough as all hell but gives you a sense of satisfaction when you beat a hard boss (every single boss you will encounter).

Still no release date. Age of Decadence and Dead State are going to be released before Torchlight 2.

Vote KotOR brothers.
7 not enough?
VOTE YS ORIGIN

Voted for them, but is this series any good? From a glance it just looks like Action RPG with a anime style and a pretty generic plot.
Played only Ys: Oath in Faggotlana before and it was really good. Action rpg, with lol story and lol characters but the combat, difficulty and bosses are great. So is the music. One of the rare games nowadays that actually gives you satisfaction after you defeat a boss after 20 tries. First it's like shit this is impossible, then you learn his moves and patterns and get better and finally you get'em. Shit's good you.

Fight the anime bullshit and hypocrisy overtaking this place.

Vote for KotOR bros. It's the only way. It has to win.

Do your duty for CDS.

Voted for KOTOR, all part of the duty of a card carrying CDS member (also, I already have Ys).

Pretty much everything has already been on sale before with the exception of Evechron Mercenary... which I just found out has an incoming expansion/stand alone rebuild so I'll probably just hold off for that.

Hahaha holy fuck, a bro linked me a Totalbiscuit video where he talked about the evils of Steam, TF2, and DotA2. So fucking stupid and conspiratorial it blows my mind.

TF2 and DotA2 are sinister and evil because they're so good and so free/fair. He's upset that you don't buy heroes in DotA2. "How can other companies compete against a product so good", he honestly says as if that's a bad thing. He even starts with the relatively valid argument that people refusing to buy shit not on Steam is silly (Which I even agree with and I don't buy shit that isn't on Steam) and then goes full speed in to crazytown about how it's wrong that Valve is doing such a better job than anyone else. "I don't remember a successful multiplayer FPS since TF2 was released" he says, eyes darting to the corners of the room looking for the devil as he wipes his sweat-drenched brow with a hand whose nails are bitten to the quick.

"TF2 and DotA2 are loss leaders. As soon as you install them and start playing BAM Valve has you using Steam" he says as if he's letting you in on a big secret before chewing on a ball of tinfoil to scramble the microwaves. Bullshit that it's a "Loss leader" since Valve has already said cosmetic-only DLC is really profitable (Unless that's JUST WHAT THEY WOULD SAY. OH MY GOD TOTALBISCUIT IS RIGHT), and NO SHIT VALVE WANTS PEOPLE USING STEAM. GOOD FREE GAMES SEEMS LIKE A GOOD WAY TO PROMOTE IT. CHRIST. I even understand the people not wanting to use Steam for DRM reasons more than this deranged shit.

Not providing a link because fuck Totalbiscuit, but it still alarmed me how crazy it was. I knew the guy was an idiot, just didn't realize he had a Skyway streak in him.

And back on topic, resisted the Dungeon Defenders urge. Loaded it up, played a map, reminded me of all the grinding, skipped it. If I wanna blow money on DLC I'd probably be better off with Arkham City DLC, and I'll likely skip that too since I heard the Harley mission/campaign/whatever wasn't that good and the rest of it is just
