What's the verdict on Back in action, anyway?
Is it really that bad or was it just met with the usual codex' cries of :decline: ?

Sov, I like how you tried to church it up a bit with a Gal Civ 2 purchase as well. Kinda like buying condoms and juice at a gas station.

So, anyone got any recommendations for the last day as far as good games with a sizable enough discount but never got a daily/flash/etc?

They stab you in the back, then laugh at your misery.

Except Konjad. He's just admiring your little ponies.

IS dreamfall worth it btw ?
If you played the longest journey, perhaps. It's a continuation of TLJ, and a lot of stuff won't make sense unless you played that. Dreamfall really suffers from being the middle part of a planned trilogy that never got finished. The ending (and many of the scenes that lead up to it) feels kind of rushed. It's only really worth it if you really, really liked the longest journey.

Missed this. Mortmal: Dreamfall is good, it has a great protagonist and a good story. Just don't "play" it if you feel like gaming. It is by all means an interactive story. A good one, and a good continuation of TLJ, but nevertheless not much of a game.

As Ulm says, the ending is horrible.

Well, unless some surprising flash deal comes up on the final day I'll have only spent about $30ish (not counting the $11ish I spent on OMD2 preorder) on the same stuff I listed a few days ago: Portal 2, Thief, Thief 2, Beyond G&E, Two Worlds 2, Gal Civ 2, and Shoot Many Robots. Bunch of other stuff I considered but will just wait for an indie bundle. Today I'll probably grab Darkstar One and possibly Hard Reset.

It should be stressed that the game is a direct continuation of TLJ. You really should play this first if you're getting Dreamfall, since the story kind of expects you to be familiar with what happened in #1, especially in the sequences where you're controling the TLJ protagonist. It can get a bit confusing if you don't. But yeah, up until ~75% of the way through, it's really good for an interactive movie type thing. The next 20% feel rushed and the last 5% are a trainwreck + cliffhanger for a sequel that was never made.

You could always dig up a video LP, grab some popcorn and watch it play itself.

I'm not sure I agree that you need TLJ, really. I played Dreamfall without any knowledge that TLJ even existed, and i felt like a complete game and story. I got that some backstory had to exist when mention of April started coming up all over the place, but it didn't diminish the experience.

I played TLJ after. Overall a beter Adventure Game, but Dreamfall is, as Ulm says, an excellent interactive movie for about 75% of the time.
